Married Reviews & Ratings

30 minutes

Married is about being miserably in love. It stars Nat Faxon and Judy Greer as Russ and Lina Bowman, who can barely remember what was like before kids, debt, and suburbia rained on their romance. But every once in a while, in between arguments about their declining sex life and who’s driving carpool, they are reminded what drew them together in the first place — they’re best friends.

Really funny show. - What I like most about Married is the dry and very sarcastic humor with which the story of this couple is presented. This show deliberately ridicules the stereotypical relationship problems and hiccups married couples are going through and displays them in a funnily overstated way.

Cancelled too soon, Married is a strong tv comedy. Highlighting the awkward times of ones late thirties, this show features some very impressive work by Nat Faxon, Jenny Slate and Brett Gelman. But the standout star is long time television veteran Judy Greer, in some of the best performances of her career.

An unfunny show, trying to be witty about a boring couple in a horrible marriage. I couldn't make it past the first episode. Didn't laugh once.

At its best, this is perhaps the definitive deconstruction of decades worth of TV clichés about marriage. Both humor and drama on Married typically remain understated, creating a sense of realism that few other shows would even try to attempt. The blend of subtlety, cynicism and earnestness is enlivened by a great cast, most notably a stunning Judy Greer.

I love Judy Greer and I really wanted to like but just found it uninteresting.
