CW fan favorite Justin Hartley just lined up his next gig, and Zap2it has the exclusive scoop! "Melissa and Joey" has tapped the former Green Arrow to guest star as Melissa Joan Hart's new boyfriend, Noah, on Season 3 of the ABC Family comedy.Things get complicated when Noah's apartment floods and he's forced to move in with Mel a little too early on in their relationship. It's particularly awkward since Joe (Joey Lawrence), Mel's live-in nanny, is always around.Hartley, best known for his work as Oliver Queen on "Smallville" and the dreamy Dr. Will Collins on "Emily Owens, M.D.," has also had memorable guest appearances on "Hart of Dixie," "Castle," and "Chuck.""Melissa and Joey" returns on May 29 with brand new episodes. '90210' star Trevor Donovan moves on to 'Melissa and Joey'

On Thursday afternoon, The CW announced that "90210" has been canceled and will air its series finale this May after five seasons on the air. Before the ink was even dry on that press release, though, ABC Family wasted no time in promptly snatching up series star Trevor Donovan for a significant guest role on their hit comedy "Melissa and Joey."Zap2it has learned exclusively that Donovan will star as Austin, a childhood friend of Mel (Melissa Joan Hart) who moves back to town. As her former next-door-neighbor, the two share a warm, bantering relationship that's easily reignited when he comes back into her life. She's interested in taking things to the next level when Joe (Joe Lawrence) discovers a potential complication. ABC Family renews 'Switched at Birth' and orders more 'Bunheads'; two comedies also coming back

ABC Family is solidifying its place as an original programming network.The cable channel announced Friday that it has picked up "Switched at Birth" for a second season and ordered more new episodes of first-year drama "Bunheads" (though it won't say how many).ABC Family has also renewed "Melissa and Joey" for a third season and "Baby Daddy" for a second year."Two years ago we embarked on a bold strategy to grow the breadth and scope of original programming and create a Wednesday night summer comedy destination," network president Michael Riley says.
