Miami Vice Reviews & Ratings

Miami Vice was a popular and innovative television series starring Don Johnson (James "Sonny" Crockett) and Philip Michael Thomas (Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs) as two Miami police detectives working undercover. This allowed a confiscated Ferrari, for example, to be used to enhance an undercover officer's cover as...

Unlike standard police procedurals, the show drew heavily upon 1980's New Wave culture and music. The show became noted for its integration of music and visual effects. It has been called one of the "Top 50 TV Shows".

People magazine stated that Miami Vice was the "first show to look really new and different since color TV was invented". In 2016, television critics Alan Sepinwall and Matt Zoller Seitz ranked Miami Vice as the 51st greatest American television show of all time.

Crockett and Tubs were hot, they rocked those white suits and let's not forget the pet alligator, Elvis! What's not to love?!

The clothes worn on Miami Vice had a significant influence on men's fashion. They popularized, if not invented, the "T-shirt under Armani jacket"–style, and popularized Italian men's fashion in the United States. Crockett's perpetually unshaven appearance sparked a minor fashion trend, inspiring men to wear a small amount of beard stubble.

Drugs, 2 fast cars, beautiful women - no, not the "Fast and the Furious" 1 to who cares, but Miami Vice. It is a legend and for oldschool machos and an absolute must. Do not expect top notch dialogues, expect Don Johnson!
