'Modern Family' Season 5: First promo points to a wedding

ABC's first promo for Season 5 of "Modern Family" centers around the one little word everyone wants to hear: "Yes!"As the voiceover teases, "'Modern Family' will change with just one word," before a montage of the entire cast shouting in the affirmative. "But what's the question?" the narrator then asks. What's the question, indeed. 'Modern Family' Season 4 finale: 'Goodnight, Gracie' ends with a Dunphy funeral

It takes a self-assured comedy to end a season with a funeral for a character the audience has never met, which is exactly what "Modern Family" does. Wrapping up its fourth season on Wednesday (May 22), the ABC sitcom remains one of TV's most watched comedies, knowing that, at this point in its run, it can do just about whatever it darn well pleases.So, the show kills off Grandma Gracie Dunphy, a character we've never met and therefore find little to be moved by with her death. Or so it would seem. At the onset of the episode, as the entire Dunphy-Pritchett clan descends upon Florida to mourn, not even the woman's son or husband seem that torn up about their loss.
