As Naruto attacks Tobi in Tailed Beast Mode, a hesitant Kakashi is in disbelief of the masked man's identity before finally motivated to join the fight after Guy snaps him out of it. Tobi unleashes a shower of gigantic chakra receivers that paralyze Bee and Gy?ki while Naruto creates a shadow clone and it charges forward with Rasengan while the original prepares a Tailed Beast Ball. As Naruto launches his attack, Tobi simply phases through and with that, fully enters the other dimension. There, he witnesses the clone earlier and realises that Kakashi did not just teleport the Rasengan but the clone itself. With little time to react, Tobi is hit by Naruto's Rasengan with his mask shattered into pieces. Watching on, Kakashi and Guy are shocked to see that the masked man is their former comrade: Obito Uchiha. With Kakashi rendered speechless, Naruto learns from Guy that Obito was Kakashi's team mate who was believed to have been KIA during the Third Great Ninja War. When asked by Kakashi if it is him, Obito explains that his actions up until have been because Kakashi allowed Rin to die. Naruto motivates a devastated Kakashi that they must fight Obito as he is then joined by Madara.
