'NCIS' Recap: Why Does Gibbs Challenge the Law?

Last time on NCIS , Bishop eagerly anticipated her probie evaluation. When she scored higher than McGee, Tony or Kate, she was elated. Later, she found out that Gibbs scored the best candidates with lower scores to push them. Bishop confronted Gibbs about her evaluation, which was not awkward at all. He responded that he had been going easy on her because he lost two great people from Ziva's desk already. This sort of explains why Bishop has not been performing perfectly in the field, yet Gibbs seemed much gentler with her. Bishop asked to be treated the same as the other agents, and Gibbs agreed. NCIS Season 12 Episode 8 Review: Semper Fortis

Often, as Mr. Bumble in Oliver Twist put it, "the law is a ass." Never was that made more clear than in  NCIS Season 12 Episode 8  when a former Navy corpsman was charged for unlawfully saving the lives of two people injured in a car crash. It's amazing to see such an important law being applied in such a ridiculous – though truthful – way. The law against providing unlicensed medical assistance is there to protect the public from posers, well-meaning or otherwise. NCIS Season 12 Review “Semper Fortis” – Gibbs Helps the Helper

In this episode of  NCIS , called “Semper Fortis,” a woman uses her skills as a corpsman to save lives, but when she is destined to go to jail for it, Gibbs steps in to try and help. It’s always interesting when this show steps out of its regular formula to deliver something different. Unlike many episodes, this one didn’t begin with a murder and end with a criminal being caught.
