Robert Wagner plays murder suspect on 'NCIS' -- bad timing alert!

Robert Wagner signing on for another guest spot on "NCIS" must've sounded like a good idea at the time. But now that authorities have re-opened the case of his wife Natalie Wood's 1981 drowning death, it just seems like a case of very bad timing. In "Sins of the Father," airing Nov. 22, Wagner reprises his role as Anthony DiNozzo, Sr., the father of Michael Weatherly's character. DiNozzo, Sr. is found in a car with a dead body in the trunk and no recollection of the night before. Interestingly, Weatherly played Wagner in a 2004 TV movie about Wood's death. The 81-year-old has remained relatively silent since Wood's case was reopened after 30 years, although Wood's sister, the boat's captain and an alleged ear witness have spoken to the press in recent days. Although police have said Wagner is not a suspect, the fact that he's playing one on TV doesn't do much for his public image.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/11/robert-wagner-plays-murder-suspect-on-ncis----bad-timing-alert.html

NCIS Spoiler - Cue The Zombie!

Somebody is coming back from the dead on NCIS , at least for one episode.  It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise since when this character died on NCIS her body immediately went missing. Yes, I'm talking NCIS fan favorite E.J. Barrett.  When we last saw her, E.J. and her team were double crossed by 'supposed' FBI agent Casey Stratton, and it was suggested she was killed.  Well for a few seconds at least.  Even though TVLine is billing this as a back from the dead sort of situation, it seemed pretty obvious that Barrett's body didn't move itself.  The big question is what has she been up to all this time, and will she be returning to NCIS for good? "Last we saw EJ Barrett, she was gunned down and left for dead. Then she disappeared In January we’ll find out what happened." NCIS Executive Producer Gary Glasberg told TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich . Okay so all the Zombie talk may be a bit of hyperbole, but what isn't is the storyline that Sarah Jane Morris's EJ Barrett left behind full of double crosses, false identities, microchips implanted in people's bodies, and all sorts of covert shenanigans. Early indications are that EJ will not appear for an extended arc on NCIS , but more to wrap up the mess she left behind. NCIS has enjoyed an explosive return, dominating its Tuesday 8pm time slot on CBS.  This week NCIS attracted an epic 20-million live viewers, 11-million over its nearest competitor.  Coincidentally, NCIS:La similarly dominated its follow-up 9pm Tuesday slot, facing tougher competition with ABC's Dancing With the Stars . As for when you expect to see her return,  TVLine is reporting Barrett will be back on NCIS in January. In the meantime NCIS fans can look forward to Robert Wagner guest starring on next Tuesday's episode. //feedproxy.google.com/~r/tvovermind/tvnews/~3/PBAv6pd7Ems/105911

NCIS Spoilers: A Surprising Return By ...

A familiar face is returning to NCIS in January. One left for dead the last time we saw her. Sarah Jane Morris will reprise her role as E.J. Barrett, according to TV Line. E.J., who was gunned down in the Season 9 premiere , only to have her body then go missing, will be back for at least one episode. NCIS Episode Preview: Welcome Back, Tony Sr.!

NCIS delivered a powerful two-part episode over the last two weeks, depicting the return of Lt. Flores, a race against time to uncover a terror plot, Tony's soul searching and a look back to Gibbs' USMC days. Read our NCIS review from last night for full coverage of "Engaged." Looking ahead to next week, Robert Wagner makes his third appearance as Tony's father. True to form, he appears to be caught up in NCIS business, although far more seriously than his previous visits. After Anthony DiNozzo, Sr. is found in a car with a dead body in the trunk and no memory of the previous night, the NCIS team must figure out what the heck happened, and if he is capable of murder. Meanwhile, Tony is sidelined for this case and must go against orders to try and prove his father’s innocence. Given their already complicated relationship, this should make for an interesting episode. Think he's actually involved in a murder? He can't be, right? Gibbs and Ziva Get into a War Zone Fire Fight to Bring Back a Marine on 'NCIS' (VIDEO)

'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS) continued its powerful tribute to the US Marines with this second of a two-parter that saw Gibbs and Ziva head off to Afghanistan to bring back a Marine left behind. The episode showed the strengh and unity of the Corps, regardless of gender. It was a beautiful thing to watch, and further proof why 'NCIS' stands in a league of its own compared to other procedurals on the air. With as much care and emphasis on its character than its cases, the writers and creative team know how to tell a story and make you care. We wanted to see Lt. Gabriela Flores returned to her father alive and well just as much as Gibbs did. If we were to get a true military-based dramatic series, following our men and women in the armed forces across the globe where the danger is, we'd want it to feel like this episode. //www.aoltv.com/2011/11/16/gibbs-ziva-war-zone-fire-fight-bring-back-marine-ncis-video/

NCIS Preview: Bring Her Home, Gibbs!

After this week's powerful episode (see TV Fanatic's NCIS review ), Gibbs and the team continue to investigate the disappearance of a U.S. Marine Lieutenant after a school bombing in Afghanistan. Leave no one behind . The story of Gabriela Flores clearly moved our man, a former Marine himself, and the NCIS team will be very much in harm's way Tuesday as they search for her abductors. The episode is likely to conjure up memories of the last time Gibbs ventured to that war-torn region of the world, rescuing Ziva in the seventh season premiere. This time, she'll be along for the ride. While Gibbs and Ziva travel to Flores' last known whereabouts near Kandahar, he forced to relive events from his past, which we saw glimpses of this week. Also, Tony reveals his deepest fears. Check out the promo for Part II of "Engaged" below ... //www.tvfanatic.com/2011/11/ncis-preview-bring-her-home-gibbs/
