'Chicago PD's' Sophia Bush: 'One Tree Hill' was 'a rare experience'

Zap2it: After your long run as Brooke on "One Tree Hill," how are you adjusting to playing a police detective on "Chicago PD"?Sophia Bush: It feels like a perfect job for me, and that's something that makes it really exciting to get up and go to work every day. I'm not going to lie; I have a really hard time when we're shooting outside and the wind chill is 6 below ... but I love the city.I think it has such a personality, and the incredible dichotomy of culture and spirit that exists within the city gives it such an incredible character. Chicago is really the backdrop for everything in our show, and it feels personal. It doesn't feel like just a location, but like the heartbeat beneath everything that we do.Zap2it: You got to develop a character over the better part of a decade on "One Tree Hill." How is it for you to... //

'One Tree Hill's' Bethany Joy Lenz lands 'Men At Work' Season 2 role

We're still mourning "One Tree Hill" here at Zap2it, but elsewhere, the cast members are moving on. Sophia Bush will soon be seen on CBS's "Partners," Rob Buckley has a key role on ABC's "666 Park Avenue"... and now fan favorite star Bethany Joy Lenz has booked her first post-"OTH" television role. Zap2it has learned exclusively that Lenz, who played Haley James Scott for nine seasons, will guest star on TBS's "Men At Work" as a hot mom. (It's a role she's pretty familiar with -- both from "OTH" and, you know... life.)Tyler -- played by Michael Cassidy of "The O.C." fame -- is entering the "new frontier" of dating moms, so he takes interest in the recently divorced Meg (Lenz), who has two very young kids. He's totally digging her... but unfortunately for Meg, she quickly realizes that dating Tyler is a lot like having a third child on her hands.Lenz begins filming on... //

On "Retired at 35," she tries her hand at playing a parent for the first time. When we visited her on set, she admitted that it was a little weird for her to play a mom. "It's my first kid!" she jokes, giving credit to seven-year-old Caitlin Carmichael, who plays her daughter. "She's actually incredibly talented and sweet and smart, all those things that child actors are."McClain says that Jenn will have an interesting impact... //

Sophia Bush donates 'One Tree Hill' wardrobe items for I Am That Girl auction

Our major girl crush on "One Tree Hill's" Brooke Davis is well-documented, so it should go without saying that we think her portrayer, Sophia Bush, is pretty excellent, too. Like Brooke, Sophia has long been a champion for empowered women -- and though she's about to start filming her new show, "Partners," she and Brooke joined forces one last time to help an organization that aspires to encourage young women to use their voices. When we spoke with Sophia earlier this year, she joked that she one day wanted to sneak into Warner Bros. and raid Brooke Davis' wardrobe. Though she didn't have to resort to a life of crime, she did manage to pilfer some favorite outfits -- for a very good cause.Bush pulled out some of her favorite B. Davis fashions to donate to I Am That Girl through Closets for Causes. The lingerie Brooke wore for Julian, the dress she wore when Lucas... //

One Tree Hill Creator Mark Schwahn Shares the Series Ending That Never Happened

Although One Tree Hill 's series finale ended with the emotions creator Mark Schwahn always imagined, it didn't involve the characters he initially pictured. "In my mind, when the show first started, we probably would've ended up in the series finale with a Karen-Keith-Lucas scenario and they would've become the family they never were," Schwahn told at the inaugural ATX Television Festival. "Tonally it never changed for me. I always knew where I wanted to leave the show. I wanted it to be something that the fans invested since Day 1 felt like was speaking to them." //

CMT Awards 2012: 'One Tree Hill's' Jana Kramer and 'American Idol's' Casey James play us out

No, you're not seeing things! That was Jana Kramer, best known as troubled model/actress/screenwriter/singer/songwriter Alex Dupre from "One Tree Hill," performing at the CMT Awards on Wednesday night. Kramer's character left Tree Hill early in the show's final season, leaving behind her boyfriend to pursue a country music career. In a case of art-imitating-life-imitating-art, Kramer herself hit the tour circuit, too. Her debut album was released on Tuesday, and fans got a little listen at the CMT Awards as she played the show into a commercial with her single "Why Ya Wanna," which, of course, "One Tree Hill" fans are already familiar with. Kramer isn't the only emerging artist who played an abbreviated version of a new song as the show lead into a commercial break. "American Idol" fans likely recognized Casey James as the third place finalist from Season 9. He played his song "Crying On a Suitcase" from his debut album, which was... //

'One Tree Hill': Mark Schwahn talks Rachel's future, plus that other unanswered question

"One Tree Hill" ended almost two months ago, but we're still not really over it. This weekend, Zap2it attended the ATX Festival, a weekend-long celebration of all things television in Austin, Texas. While we managed to resist presenting executive producer Mark Schwahn with a mason jar filled with our finale tears, we couldn't help but ask him about a few of the show's loose ends. One of our favorite secondary characters of the series, Rachel (Danneel Ackles), wasn't mentioned in the final season, despite her significant contribution to the Tree Hill mythology. Though she did go through an unfortunate junkie phase, Schwahn tells us that in his mind, Rachel landed on her feet. "Rachel's obviously fine," Schwahn promises. "She's always going to be fine. She's very crafty, and yet, she has a good heart and she's in great shape." In fact, had things ended differently for Dan Scott, we may have seen more of Rachel in... //
