'Parks and Recreation': Bradley Whitford guests in 'West Wing'-referencing episode

"Parks and Recreation" will welcome a second cast member of "The West Wing" to Pawnee City Hall later this season -- but alas, we won't see a reunion on screen.Bradley Whitford will guest in an episode set for late March as the retiring Pawnee city councilman whose seat Leslie (Amy Poehler) is trying to win, HuffPost TV reports. Whitford will not, however, share any scenes with his former co-star Rob Lowe. The episode is called "Live Ammo," and co-creator Mike Schur says it's a reference to a "West Wing" episode in which White House newcomer Ainsley Hayes (Emily Procter) is surprised at the speed at which things move. Lowe's Sam Seaborn replies to her, "Well, we play with live ammo around here.""Parks and Rec" will pay homage to that moment when Whitford's character tells Leslie, "Look, this is the city council. We play with live ammo."Fans can also look for a couple other "West Wing" references... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/02/parks-and-recreation-bradley-whitford-guests-in-west-wing-referencing-episode.html

'Parks and Recreation' pics: Louis C.K. returns as Dave, has awkward reunion with Leslie

The bad news is that "Parks and Recreation" has the night off Thursday (Feb. 9). NBC is running two episodes of "30 Rock" instead. The good news is that when "Parks and Rec" returns next week, it will be with an episode that features the return of Leslie's (Amy Poehler) ex-boyfriend, Dave (Louis C.K.). From the looks of these pictures, though, the reunion not so much joyful as it is awkward. As co-creator Mike Schur told us a little while back, Dave, now a cop in San Diego, returns to Pawnee for the Pawnee police chief's (Eric Pierpoint) retirement party. Dave and Leslie run into each other as Leslie is trying to get the chief's endorsement for her city council campaign.Things are cordial enough that Leslie and Dave sit down to a meal together, but even here they don't look all that relaxed.Perhaps that's because Leslie's new boyfriend, Ben (Adam Scott), is also there. Ben, he... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/02/parks-and-recreation-pics-louis-ck-returns-as-dave-has-awkward-reunion-with-leslie.html

'Parks and Recreation': Leslie goes negative ... on a voter

Telling a constituent that you're going to introduce your foot to their a** is not a conventional campaign strategy. But Leslie Knope is not running a conventional campaign.Much to Ben's (Adam Scott) dismay, Leslie (Amy Poehler) gets her back up on Thursday's (Jan. 26) "Parks and Recreation" when a guy attending her bowling-alley campaign event walks away unimpressed. We'll grant that coming to such an event just for the beer is kind of uncool, but still -- it's probably best for the campaign not to be making hostile bets with potential voters. It is, however, pretty funny. On the other hand, "funny" only begins to describe the dance Chris (Rob Lowe) does in the second clip after securing a donation for Leslie's campaign. He's not quite as herky-jerky as Elaine was on "Seinfeld," but you'd be forgiven if you utter "Sweet fancy Moses" after watching. (Also, Aubrey Plaza's talking head at the end of the scene is... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/01/parks-and-recreation-leslie-goes-negative-on-a-voter.html
