Review of Ray Donovan

Sundays, 9:00 PM ET on Showtime

60 minutes

Set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous, RAY DONOVAN does the dirty work for LA's top power players. The one-hour drama series stars Liev Schreiber as the go-to guy who makes the problems of the city's celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. This powerful family drama unfolds when his father, played by Jon Voight, is unexpectedly released from prison, setting off a chain of events that shakes the Donovan family to its core.

When the show was first advertised i expected a tough guy fixer type show. Making things right for degenerates, 1%-ers etc...

What i got was a show that has zero characters i can identify with while also pretty much hating every single one of them. It isn't compelling or interesting. If i want to watch a disaster of a family i prefer Shameless. Molested punch drunks, coke pushing grandparents and a girl with the weirdest reaction to a boyfriend murder ever. THe show is yuk.
