'Resurrection's' Frances Fisher: 'How do you accept the impossible?'

Time seems to stand still only during those last minutes of the last day of school or waiting to go through airport security. With the exception of some actors, we all age - unless, of course, something else (besides skilled plastic surgeons) is at work. ABC's "Resurrection," premiering Sunday, March 9, considers what happens when time stands still for some, and the dead return. This is not a zombie gore fest. Rather, it's a quiet drama in a small town. Parents endure the never-ending grief of having to bury their only child. They go on with their lives, because what else can they do?Then, 32 years later, Jacob returns, still 8.His parents, Lucille and Henry Langston (Frances Fisher, Kurtwood Smith), are understandably shocked. Lucille immediately accepts the return of her son - no questions asked of this miracle."A mother knows his touch, his smell," Fisher tellsZap2it. "DNA doesn't lie. A mother knows. Dad doesn't accept it. How... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/03/resurrections-frances-fisher-how-do-you-accept-the-impossible.html

Resurrection Bosses: The Dead's Return Is Not About "Why," But "What If?"

ABC's Resurrection sees dead people come alive again, but it's not related to The Returned . Except it is. The drama, which premieres Sunday at 9/8c, is based on Jason Mott's best-selling book The Returned about people who come back from the dead. That's not to be confused with the critically acclaimed, similarly themed French series on Sundance Channel, The Returned , which is based on the French film Les Revenants and is being adapted by Lost 's Carlton Cuse for A&E, or the fact that Resurrection refers to its walking dead as The Returned.  Read More... //www.tvguide.com/News/Resurrection-Series-Premiere-ABC-1078993.aspx?rss=breakingnews

Is ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ the Best Pilot of the Year?

“Do you want to believe?” This simple question sums up the gracefulness of  Resurrection , a series about the sudden return of long dead loved ones to the small town of Arcadia, Missouri. The pilot is understated, beautifully directed and achingly quiet. It lets the human emotion carry the story, choosing to focus the story’s first chapter on the return of Jacob (Landon Gimenez), a little boy who drowned 32 years before. He wakes up in a rice paddy in China, with no memory of the three decades he has been gone. When he is placed in the hands of Federal agent J. Martin Bellamy (Omar Epps), Jacob directs Bellamy to take him back to Arcadia where his reunion with his unsuspecting parents is met with doubt from his father and blind faith from his mother. Resurrection Bosses on Similarities to The Returned and Why It's Not a Sci-Fi Show

ABC's  Resurrection  is not related to or a rip-off of  The Returned , but it is adapted from The Returned . Confused yet? The midseason drama is based on Jason Motts' book  The Returned  and follows a dead 8-year-old boy Jacob ( Landon Gimenez ) who wakes up more than three decades later. Its back-from-the-dead premise is not unlike that of the critically acclaimed French series  The Returned , which aired on the Sundance Channel, and the show's executive producers made sure to steer clear of it. Read More... //www.tvguide.com/News/Resurrection-ABC-Scoop-1076143.aspx?rss=breakingnews
