TV ratings: 'Modern Family' falls but still leads Wednesday, 'Criminal Minds' and 'CSI' up

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013Wednesday was mostly an off night for the broadcast networks, with a couple of exceptions. "Criminal Minds" and "CSI" were both up for CBS, and "Nashville" rose a little bit on ABC.Elsewhere, the news wasn't so good. "Modern Family" had its lowest 18-49 rating of the season, although it was still the night's top show in the demographic. "The X Factor" was off slightly for FOX, and "Arrow" pointed down as well. "Revolution's" last episode of 2013 improved a bit in viewers but was flat in adults 18-49.CBS delivered 11.1 million viewers and a 6.8 rating/11 share in households for the night. The last episode of "Revolution" in 2013 answered one big question -- albeit a little bit obliquely -- and offered up a surprise (and welcome) return. So what did it all add up to?The show's shift from a quest to turn the power back on to its Season 2 focus on the political kind of power and the way it's wielded in this world has become more sure-footed over the past few episodes. Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013Wednesday night was a relatively good one for the broadcast networks, with most shows posting ratings gains compared to their most recent outings.CBS' "Criminal Minds" scored the biggest improvement, drawing its biggest total audience of the season and growing by three-tenths of a point in adults 18-49. Nanites, nanobots, tom-ay-toes, tom-ah-toes, however you slice them, these little – and I do mean little – robots are all the rage in science fiction! On the program  Revolution , they play a pivotal role – the seminal event of the show, the blackout, was caused by them. TV ratings: 2013 CMA Awards big for ABC; 'X Factor' down for FOX

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013The 47th annual CMA Awards were up 21 percent over the 2012 telecast, averaging 16.6 million total viewers versus last year's 13.6 million, which was an all-time low for the awards. The 2013 broadcast made ABC the top network of the night and also earned ABC its first win the 18-49 demo for the opening Wednesday of November sweeps since 2007.Elsewhere, "Survivor" and "Arrow" were up slightly, while "The Tomorrow People" was down a little and "The X Factor" was down quite a bit from its last Wednesday broadcast back on Oct. 9.ABC's 16.6 million viewers and 10.3 rating/16 share in households was good for a strong first place, followed by CBS at 9.2 million and a 5.9/9. 'Revolution': Elizabeth Mitchell on Rachel's state of mind and that awkward mother-daughter reunion

Season 2 of "Revolution" has brought Rachel Matheson (Elizabeth Mitchell) with her daughter, Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos), back together, but their reunion wasn't all that heart-warming."That was sad, right?"
