Season 4 of Victorian era detective drama Ripper Street has begun shooting in Dublin with new faces added to the cast. Shameless star David Threlfall has boarded as a series regular joining the returning cast of Matthew Macfadyen , Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg, MyAnna Buring and Charlene McKenna. 'Ripper Street' Season 3 finale isn't the end: Season 4 and 5 are already in the works

Another chapter of "Ripper Street" has come to a close. This time around, fans of the detective drama should rest easy knowing that H Division -- or some incarnation of it -- will live another day. Although Wednesday (June 17) night's Season 3 finale seemed to have a series finale air about it -- Drake marries Rose, Jackson reunites with Susan and Reid walks along the shore with Mathilda -- the series has been renewed for Season 4 and 5. It was announced back in May that Amazon has once again rescued "Ripper Street" from cancellation. Amazon rode to the rescue of Ripper Street in early 2014, shortly after the BBC had decided not to move beyond Season 2. Season 3 of the period drama launched on the UKs Amazon Prime Instant Video in November last year and was streamed more than any other TV show, attracting larger viewing audiences than some major U.S. series.
