Justin Timberlake's 'SNL' skit you didn't see: Even Mozart had haters

Okay, we'll say it: Justin Timberlake is our favorite "Saturday Night Live" host. Even the "Bring it on down" skits aren't getting old. You know someone's awesome when even their discarded skits are hilarious, like this one, which was performed at the dress rehearsal but never made it to the broadcast. Some are speculating that it was cut because it didn't have the broad appeal - you've got to know your Timberlake to get a laugh out of this one - but seriously, who doesn't know Timberlake? In the skit, JT pokes fun at himself mercilessly, reclaiming all the criticism that's been thrown his way recently. If you've got beef with him -- whether it's about his decision to abandon music or whether it's about the Serious Actor hipster glasses he's taken to wearing -- he hears you, and he doesn't really care.We wish this one had made it into the broadcast, but it... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/justin-timberlakes-snl-skit-you-didnt-see-even-mozart-had-haters.html

Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga Shine in the 'Saturday Night Live' Season Finale

Last night, 'Saturday Night Live' aired its 36th season finale, and the writers and producers saved one of the best episodes of the season for last. The presence of perennial favorite host Justin Timberlake gave the writers license to bring back characters that are very familiar to regular 'SNL' watchers. It's the ultimate sign that Timberlake is quickly becoming this generation's version of 'SNL' hosting stalwarts Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. But added to the mix was the presence of Lady Gaga, who not only performed two songs, but did a fine job in a number of sketches, as well. Do we have a new recurring host in the making? After the jump, we'll give you a selection of videos from last night's finale. In the comments, give us your thoughts on how JT and Gaga did on the show. //www.tvsquad.com/2011/05/22/saturday-night-live-season-36-finale-justin-timberlake-lady-gaga/

Lady Gaga spooks Justin Timberlake in new 'Saturday Night Live' promo, 'Mother Lover' on deck

Ghosts aren't the only thing scaring Justin Timberlake on the set of "Saturday Night Live" this week. In the latest promo for his May 21 season finale hosting gig, he appears alongside Lady Gaga, who joins him as the episode's musical guest. Her glasses give him quite a fright. The three new spots mostly stick to making fun of Gaga's choice of outfit -- including some not-safe-for-TV shows just off camera -- but at this point, we're much more interested in what Timberlake and Andy Samberg have cooking for the Digital Short this week. TMZ reports the duo have been spotted filming around New York City in their "D**k in a Box" chinstraps and '90s suits, with "Mother Lover" co-stars Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson also in attendance. Barring an Apocalypse earlier in the day, it should be a great episode. Prepare yourself by watching the promo and, for good measure, the original "Mother Lover."... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/lady-gaga-spooks-justin-timberlake-in-new-saturday-night-live-promo-mother-lover-on-deck.html

'Saturday Night Live' promo: Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg flirt, Lady Gaga appears only in spirit

The 36th season of "Saturday Night Live" is basically guaranteed to go out on a high note, with longtime favorite Justin Timberlake returning for his fourth time as host -- and his 12th appearance. Lady Gaga will also be in attendance as musical guest and, presumably, some self-parody -- but she doesn't make an appearance in the first promo. Instead we get a healthy dose of the palpable comedic (and sexual) chemistry between Timberlake and Andy Samberg. In the three vignettes, the duo almost share a kiss, meet their attractive twin sisters and get a visit from the ghost of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. (Impressive graphics!)Watch the promos below and tune in May 21 for the finale.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/saturday-night-live-promo-justin-timberlake-and-andy-samberg-flirt-lady-gaga-appears-only-in-spirit.html

Jon Hamm and Jimmy Fallon Team Up for Live-Action 'Ambiguously Gay Duo' on 'SNL'

It's been almost four years since we last saw crime-fighting duo Ace and Gary stop a bad guy with a slew of unintentional sexual innuendos on 'Saturday Night Live.' But last night, during the Ed Helms-hosted penultimate episode of season 36, the Ambiguously Gay Duo returned in a very special installment of Robert Smigel's Saturday TV Funhouse. The cartoon started out normally, but halfway through turned from animation to live-action, with former 'SNL'-er Jimmy Fallon and frequent 'SNL' host Jon Hamm playing the flesh-and-blood superheroes. Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell, who originally voiced the caped heroes, played the live versions of Brain-io and Big Head, with Ed Helms and Fred Armisen as two of their evil counterparts. Watch the skit after the jump, and tell us: What did you think of the live-action Ace and Gary? What about the rest of last night's 'SNL'? //www.tvsquad.com/2011/05/15/jon-hamm-jimmy-fallon-ambiguously-gay-duo-snl/

'SNL' with Ed Helms: It's on!

Ed Helms hosts  Saturday Night Live  this week, with Paul Simon as the music guest. Helms’ comic style — the intelligently effusive — should serve him well in the  SNL  universe. The former  Daily Show  correspondent, current co-star of  The Office , and  budding movie star (forthcoming:  The Hangover: Part II ) would seem to have all the right qualities to perform live, timely sketches with dispatch.
