Drake Hosts Saturday Night Live: What Were the Best Sketches?

Saturday Night Live  welcomed  Drake  this weekend as host and musical guest on its first offering of 2014 and also gave new cast member  Sasheer Zamata  a chance to shine — even though the episode certainly wasn't one of the better installments from this season. Despite his recent musical success, the  Degrassi  alum proved he's still got more than a few acting chops to show off, gamely doing impressions of everyone from Lil' Wayne to a dorky dad at a slumber party. Check out some of the highlights from the episode below:   //www.tvguide.com/News/Drake-Saturday-Night-Live-SNL-Sasheer-Zamata-1076338.aspx?rss=breakingnews

Drake hosts a solid 'Saturday Night Live': Watch his skits here

It's always kind of a relief when the musicians who host "Saturday Night Live" also have some sort of acting ability -- you know they won't embarrass themselves, so you don't have to worry about cringing through an entire hour and a half. Since Drake, a.k.a. Aubrey Graham, spent his formative years acting on a Canadian teen soap opera, he not only fully committed to every skit, he also had the acting chops to pull it off. COLD OPEN This one's not online, for some reason, but Drake got started with the jokes early as a not-very-apologetic Alex Rodriguez speaking with Taran Killam's Piers Morgan and trying to blame his steroid abuse on autocorrect, Jackie Robinson and the dictionary -- basically, everyone but himself. Kate McKinnon also played an excellent, constantly posing Justin Bieber. 'Saturday Night Live': How was Sasheer Zameeta on her first night?

After months of controversy and a nationwide talent search, "Saturday Night Live" finally hired a black female cast member. Sasheer Zamata made her debut on the Jan. 18 episode with host and musical guest Drake. Drake, a.k.a. Aubrey Graham, was an actor (on Canadian teen soap "Degrassi") for many years, so the show was bound to be good -- or at least have a little more life than the typical double threats with little acting experience. Zamata made her first appearance during Drake's monologue in a flashback to his Bar Mitzvah. She had one line -- "Mazel Tov!" -- as Drake's uncle's girlfriend. But still! It was great to see her face in the first few minutes of the show. She also made it into the second skit of the night as Rihanna dancing through the "Blossom" credits -- and although that sounds really minor, it was hilarious. A solid start to a great show,... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/saturday-night-live-how-was-sasheer-zameeta-on-her-first-night.html

Drake Hosts Saturday Night Live, Recalls Degrassi Days in the Viggle Minute (VIDEO)

Just because there aren’t any major award shows this weekend doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to watch on TV! In fact, there are two huge television events we’re recommending on today’s Viggle Minute. The first is Flowers in the Attic on Lifetime. We know, we know. Lifetime: the channel of melodrama and where Project Runway went to die. But this remake of the 1987 film is bound to get tongues a-waggin'. Not only does it star Sally from Mad Men (Kiernan Shipka) and Heather Graham from, well,... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/A7czK9mkAjA/2014-01-17-lifetime-drake-snl-viggle-minute
