Fast national ratings for Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 Although the final night of the 2012 Republican National Convention aired on every network, CBS managed to walk away with a ratings win anyway, just barely beating out ABC to win the night. The numbers aren't 100 percent accurate since the convention began before primetime in many parts of the country, but "Big Brother," sitcom repeats and the convention gave the eye network a win. CBS averaged 5.7 million viewers for the night, earning a 3.9 rating/6 household share, narrowly beating out ABC's 5.2 million and 3.4/6. Following behind were NBC with 3.6 million (2.4/4), FOX with 3.5 million (2.3/4) and The CW with 1.3 million (0.9/1). Winning the 18-49 demographic was CBS with a 1.8, with ABC getting a 1.4, FOX a 1.1, NBC a 1.0 and The CW a 0.5. Fast National ratings for Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012CBS' "Big" duo -- "The Big Bang Theory" and "Big Brother" -- carried the network to a ratings win Thursday. NFL preseason games in local markets affected the numbers for several networks, but the order of things is likely to stay pretty much the same.CBS brought in 6.2 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/7 share in households for the night, pending updates. ABC (5.2 million, 3.1/5) came in second. NBC took third with 4.1 million viewers and a 2.7/5, beating FOX's 2.1 million and 1.4/2. The CW drew 874,000 people and a 0.6/1.Even with NFL games, none of the networks managed to break the 2.0 barrier among adults 18-49. CBS led the demographic with a 1.8, followed by ABC at 1.5. Synopsis:  When Joel gets cold feet  in the OR, Kinney takes him with her on a Continuing Medical Education  assignment in her hometown to help clear his head. During their field trip , a woman gets pinned underneath a truck and Joel and Kinney lead the rescue effort. Meanwhile, Charlie meets a newly deceased therapist who suspects it’s an emotional block that is keeping him in his coma. Fast National ratings for Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012FOX aired an NFL preseason game in primetime Thursday night, giving the network a boost over its usual summer numbers. NFL games in a few local markets also gave a bump to NBC and CBS. The latter led the night in viewers thanks also to "Big Brother" and "The Big Bang Theory."ABC, meanwhile, debuted a cooking competition called "Time Machine Chefs," although not that many people noticed. Nor did many people tune into The CW's singing competition "The Next."CBS averaged 6.25 million viewers and a 4.1 rating/7 share in households for the night, pending updates for the NFL. FOX (5 million, 3.3/6) came in second, a little ahead of ABC (4.6 million, 2.9/5). NBC’s new series  Saving Hope  "Bea, Again" Episode 9 airs on Thursday August 16 at 9/8c. Synopsis:  With Charlie removed from his ventilator, all he and Alex can do is wait and ask themselves : is this really it? But when a patient comes in for a routine follow-up, her new symptoms  could lead Alex and Charlie to making a discovery about Charlie’s coma. Meanwhile , Joel cannot operate after breaking his hand, and Maggie and Gavin deal with the aftermath of their kiss. ‘Saving Hope’ Season 2 To Air On Canadian TV

While the new medical series  Saving Hope  may not have resonated with U.S. fans, the show did extremely well among Canadian  viewers, allowing a second season  pick up for the series  according to  The Hollywood Reporter . The NBC drama has received an order for an additional 13 episodes and is set to air on CTV. meanwhile fans in the United States  are still awaiting word on whether or not they will be able to tune into their favorite series next year. For the unknown who may have missed this little gem with Smallville’s former leading lady Erica Durance  and actor Michael Shanks, the series follows a chief of surgery (played by Shanks) "whose sudden illness left the medical facility in chaos, and his doctor wife (Durance) in shock."
