This show will require you to suspend your disbelief in a way that no other show has ever demanded. I wanted to stop watching five minutes into the pilot episode but out of sheer respect for Alfre Woodard and Jason Momoa (and hoping he might take his clothes off), I continued watching. I watched in horror as they managed to cram plot hole after plot hole after cramming a bunch of contrived cliches and plot devices into the first half hour. Yet I continued to watch... but still his clothes were on. One star is for them managing to get Alfre Woodard, a well respected actress, to act as though this was her first role ever. The half star is for them managing to get Jason Momoa to wear the same clothes he wore on Game of Thrones, which ironically enough was set in the past while this show is set hundreds of years in the future. I instantly recognized that this was filmed all over British Columbia and that results in some beautiful backdrops and gorgeous scenery. Other than these three reasons, I found the show to be absolutely unwatchable. My goodness, this was bad. So bad that I actually believe I could do better and I am not at all a creative person and have zero experience as a director, or producer, but yeah, this was trash. Sorry Jason, sorry Alfre, I had hoped to fall in love with your new show. May Apple stick to making phones and computers or literally anything else other than TV shows.
