Review of Sense8

60 minutes

Sense8 is centered around eight characters that live in different cities around the world who experience a violent vision, and soon find themselves mentally connected by this experience. They are suddenly able to see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, and have access to each other's deepest secrets. Not only must these eight adapt to this new ability and to each other, they must figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them.

There are things about this show that I like and things I don't. I like that they executed a fresh idea in an original manner. I also like that the casting is so diverse. But at the same time it feels that there might be too many members: 8 people for the 8th sense. That being said I confess that I would have a hard time eliminating any one of the characters as they and their stories are all engrossing.
I also don't like the needlessly graphic parts of the show. But that's just my opinion.

While I enjoyed watching the show, I'm not sure whether I will be watching the next season. However, Capheus and Sun may just pull me back for a second season.
