In a provocative new drama, the iconic Jennifer Lopez stars as sexy New York detective (and single mother) Harlee Santos, who falls in with a tight-knit group of dirty cops, taking bribes and protection money that she uses to provide the best life for her honest and talented daughter. When she’s trapped by the FBI, however, and forced to inform on her own “brothers,” she’ll have to walk the fine line between love, loyalty, honor, and betrayal, and try to keep things together for her daughter’s future.

So far so good, Show opened with a bang! Ray has still got it for sure, he can hold your attention, pull you in and keep you watching! I love him as an actor and he will definitely make the show a must see. As far as Jenn goes, well I am still on the fence, time will tell she has done some good work in the past and since she is co starring with Ray, that will sure go a long way. I decided to update my review since I have seen a few shows now. I love it and will watch it for sure. It is fast paced, which I like, story is moving right along. The suspense is great, you don't know when Ray is going to pull something and so far Jenn is ready for him and she is handling things pretty good as far as her part goes. She does make a good looking cop for sure, likes to show her body, good for the ratings on the show for sure, the men will like that, nothing like a good body in a show to get the guys watching especially when she like to show it off. I hope they stay more on the crime side of things and not the sex side as the crime is what sells and good acting too.
Just finished watching the finale and I tell you this is a great show. The acting is second to none. I love the story line and how it is going, all the twists and turns the show is taking just draws you in deeper. I can't wait to see what is coming next season. Keep up the good work.

I like this show. It's gritty but not gross. Many things going on, every character is in their own drama. Ray is very good in this part, Jennifer is great in hers

I gave it a look against my expectations... because I couldn't sleep.

And it's a good show

It may not change the history of police dramas, but is well done, well played and had a good script. So long as chapter 1 goes.

Let's see what happens.

I can't say this is JLo's best work. Her acting in the opening scene of the pilot isn't particularly believable, but it does get better. She makes me feel increasingly uncomfortable with her as the plot thickens. It's a lot darker than I expected (particularly as she's chosen to work on albeit producing, shows like The Fosters) and Ray Liotta in his character is likeable but ugly at the same time. I think it has the potential to get better so I'll give it a few more episodes before I decide if I want to include it in my regular watching list.

I never thought very highly of Jennifer Lopez as an actress until I saw Shades of Blue, she is AMAZING in it. Shades of Blue is a show about shady detectives (Lopez playing one of them), an FBI agent who is trying to take them down using a mole, and the madness that emerges as the situation plays on.

Detective Harlee Santos frames her abusive ex, shortly after his release from prison. She's found out by the FBI and forced to get the dirt on her crew. Jennifer Lopez delivers a stellar performance as does Ray Liotta.

This show is just ok in my opinion. It does not have a believable chemistry between the actors/characters that makes it appealing to me. Jennifer is not the best actress but love Ray. Updated: For me it has been a wobbler and I was just about to drop it until I watched the season finale episode and Bammm!!! Now I it has my full attention. Very curious about the second season now. Will just have to wait and see.

This series started with such promise - now its just a 'battered wife' story plus 'daughter meets the dad she never knew' story plus the 'paranoid dirty copy' story plus the 'strange FBI guy' story and soon plus the 'bent Police steal from the DEA' story. These story lines have all be done before and I cannot see how they can jump to Season 2. The 'dirty' cop will get caught. The DEA money returned. The wife either gets battered again or her role in the fit up is found out. The daughter ....who knows .....
Any one else noticed the 'dirty' cops eyes - is he wearing eye make up - strange .
Tired format - can it and re run some old Kojaks !
Who loves ya baby !!

I don't want to see people naked or gay relationships. Why does ever show think they have to do this? If I treated people in my live the way they do in these types of shows no one would talk to me.
