TV ratings: 'Grimm' stays strong Tuesday as 'The Voice' and 'NCIS' drop

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, May 7, 2013Week two of "Grimm's" Tuesday-night run brought more solid ratings for the show, which improved a little over last week in viewers and was pretty steady in adults 18-49.The night's two biggest shows, "The Voice" and "NCIS," were both down from last week, but both retained their leads in the 18-49 demo and total viewers, respectively. The season finale of "Splash" was up a little bit for ABC, while the "Hart of Dixie" finale was on par with last week. "New Girl" and "The Mindy Project" were also up a little.CBS brought in 12.4 million viewers and a 7.9 rating/13 share in households Tuesday night, topping NBC (9.4 million, 5.9/9) by about 3 million viewers. Celebrity diving series "Splash" came to a close on Tuesday night, with extreme skier Rory Bushfield taking home the grand prize. Bushfield struggled in the beginning of the show, since as a skier, he's been taught never to land on his head -- an important skill when one is going into a pool head-first. Ultimately, he overcame his physical obstacles, including a painful ruptured eardrum. He was driven by the memory of his wife, freestyle skier Sarah Burke, who died last January after a crash in Park City, Utah. "Sarah was my dream girl before she knew who I was," he said on the show. "A lot of the craziest things I ever did were just kind of to impress Sarah." While Bushfield was the winner, ABC was not. 'Splash': Nicole Eggert hospitalized after on-set injury

Who knew that joining "Splash" would be the most dangerous job in Hollywood?The ABC reality show adds another injured cast member to its growing list with a report from TMZ that Nicole Eggert was hospitalized on Thursday (April 18) after a dive went very wrong while taping the show.Sources tell the outlet that the former "Baywatch" star was attempting a dive that included multiple backflips when something went wrong and she back-flopped in the water. The impact was said to have looked so painful that on-site EMTs rushed to pull Eggert out of the pool. She was taken to a nearby hospital.Luckily, she didn't break any bones, but doctors were concerned that she may have suffered internal injuries from the fall, monitoring her kidneys, specifically. It scored the night's biggest audience in both measures.Also Tuesday, the "Dancing With the Stars" results show on ABC, "Hell's Kitchen" on FOX and "Hart of Dixie" on The CW were all up a little. On the flip side, ABC's "Splash" and NBC's "Ready for Love" both dropped, with "Ready for Love" losing a staggering 67 percent of its lead-in in adults 18-49 and more than 70 percent of the total audience.
