VIDEO 'Supernatural' clip: Sam and Dean reunite and reveal Castiel's demise

Here's the good news, "Supernatural" fans -- Sam and Dean will reunite early in the Season 8 premiere, titled "We Need To Talk About Kevin" -- and you can see them say hello in their own way in the clip below. Holy water, soap, blood... it all means "Hey, I missed you!" in Winchester, right? The bad news comes for Castiel fans when Dean reveals that Castiel died (sort of) in Purgatory. It seems that Castiel gave up the fight, and while Dean didn't actually see him die, he "saw enough" to know that Castiel didn't make it. Call us crazy, but after seven seasons of "Supernatural," we don't believe anyone's dead unless we see it happen. And even then, it can usually be reversed. We know that Castiel will appear in at least eight episodes this season, and potentially more. While we hear that Misha Collins has thus far only filmed flashback episodes in... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/supernatural-clip-sam-and-dean-reunite-and-reveal-castiels-demise.html

'Revolution' books 'Supernatural' trio for guest roles

Mark Pellegrino, Todd Stashwick and Colin Ford are all familiar faces to fans of "Supernatural," and now they're all booked as guest stars on former "Supernatural" executive producer Eric Kripke's new NBC series "Revolution."Pellegrino (or Lucifer to "Supernatural" fans) is expected to appear on "Revolution" first, in the role of a militia officer in episode 3 entitled "No Quarter" and scheduled to air Oct. 1.Ford (a.k.a. young Sam Winchester) plays the brother of a boy kidnapped by the militia in episode 7, while Stashwick (who was Dracula in the "Supernatural" Season 4 episode "Monster Movie") turns up as a drug lord in episode 6.The three castings were first reported by TVLine. After premiering this week to big ratings, "Revolution" may not need much help in attracting an audience. But a little boost in interest from the rabid "Supernatural" fanbase certainly can't hurt.Watch a preview of "Revolution's" second episode here.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/revolution-books-supernatural-trio-for-guest-roles.html

Supernatural Teasers: The Winchesters Learn the Value - and Headache - of a Strong Mother Figure

The prophet Kevin isn't going anywhere on Supernatural this coming season.  In fact, according to the preview for season 8 , he's rather instrumental to the storyline.  When the Winchesters are reunited after a  year apart, they decide to track down Kevin, who tells them about the existence of another tablet...one that has the potential to close the Gates to Hell forever.  It's a race to the finish against Crowley and his demons to get their hands on this tablet. In the October 10 episode, titled "What's Up Tiger Mommy", Kevin's mother gets in on the hunting action.  According to the official CW synopsis: "MRS. TRAN JOINS SAM AND DEAN ON THE ROAD — Kevin (guest star Osric Chau) talks Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) into checking in on his mother (guest star Lauren Tom). When they arrive, they see that Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) has surrounded her with demons so they rescue her and take her along on their quest to find the tablet. However, they soon discover Kevin wasn’t kidding when he said his mother was a strong-willed woman after she tries to take on Crowley. John Showalter directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin." Don't miss the season premiere of Supernatural on it's new night: Wednesday, October 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. 'Supernatural' spoilers: Amanda Tapping cast in major new angel role, Mike Farrell goes mental

We've seen a handful of female angel characters on "Supernatural," but none have lasted long -- until now. Zap2it has learned that Amanda Tapping is set to play Naomi, who executive producer Jeremy Carver describes as "cool and mysterious, part of a new group of angels we've never seen before." As we previously revealed, Naomi appears buttoned-up and polished; the casting notice likened her to Matt Damon's character in "The Good Shepherd" -- an early CIA operative who was willing to sacrifice everything for the greater good. Yes, the angels are back in a big way this year. We can first expect to meet Naomi in Episode 807, tentatively titled "A Little Slice of Kevin," but fans can expect her to continue interacting with the Winchesters and Castiel throughout the season as her professional demeanor begins to unravel.Tapping, a genre favorite, is best known for her work in the "Stargate" franchise as Samantha Carter, and... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/supernatural-spoilers-amanda-tapping-cast-in-major-new-angel-role-mike-farrell-goes-mental.html

'Supernatural' star Jared Padalecki punches Jensen Ackles right in the face!

"Supernatural" stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki have fooled us for years into thinking that they were BFFs off-screen, but a shocking new video from the set of "Supernatural" reveals them to be bitter, violent rivals.(Okay, so that's not true. We just wanted to walk a mile in TMZ's shoes, or something. The "Supernatural" set remains as drama-free as ever.)With their BFF-dom still intact (we promise), Jensen and Jared jumped in front of the camera to thank "Supernatural" fans for getting them to ten million Facebook "likes," which if you ask us, are way more important than Nielsen ratings. As Jared was thanking the fans -- and watching the number climb -- they were rudely interrupted by D.J. Qualls who, as we previously reported, will return as Garth in episode 806, "Southern Comfort."When Jensen dares to laugh at Jared's plight, he gets a fist to the face for it. We've got to hand it to... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/supernatural-star-jared-padalecki-punches-jensen-ackles-right-in-the-face.html

'Supernatural' Season 8 premiere details: Sam 'drops everything' when Dean returns

When "Supernatural" executive producer Jeremy Carver revealed at Comic-Con that while Dean was in Purgatory, Sam hit a dead-end and stopped looking for him, fans were understandably confused. After all, it's not exactly the Winchester way to give up when someone is hurt, goes missing, or even dies.Fans should take some comfort in the knowledge that in the Season 8 premiere, when Dean does finally return from Purgatory, Sam doesn't hesitate to get back on the road with his brother, leaving his "normal life" behind. (Though we hear he's not so keen on leaving his new dog behind. Can you blame him?)Below, find the official description of the Oct. 3 episode, titled "We Need To Talk About Kevin," directly from The CW. What do you think, fans? Drop us a line in the comments section and let us know what you hope to see from Season 8. 'Supernatural' Season 8 promo: Sam and Dean hug it out & begin a new mission

Rule No. 2398 of being a Winchester: Hugs are totally allowed when someone returns from the dead. We just got our hands on the brand new "Supernatural" Season 8 promo video -- a Zap2it first look -- and we're glad to see that the Winchesters are still following the rules. The promo reveals the reunion of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), after Dean's year in Purgatory, which doesn't exactly look like a cake walk in the brief flashes we see here. There's even a mysterious, ominous image of Castiel (Misha Collins) looking forlorn and worse for wear.Since Sam had no idea where Dean vanished to -- and no one to contact for help -- he's done his best to move on over the course of the year, falling for a new love and attempting to settle into a normal life. When Dean returns, though, the boys are reunited with Kevin (Osric Chau) and Crowley... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/supernatural-season-8-promo-sam-and-dean-hug-it-out-and-set-out-on-a-new-mission.html

Supernatural: DJ Qualls' Garth to Return in Season 8

Thanks to the actor himself, we know that hunter Garth will be making a return guest appearance in season 8 of Supernatural. DJ Qualls, who first played Garth in the episode "Season 7, Time for a Wedding" in November 2011, later reprised his role in the late season 7 episode "Party on, Garth".  A wiry hunter, Garth endeared himself to Dean in particular, thanks to his quirky ways (although we're not certain Dean is a huge fan of Mr. Fizzles).
