TV ratings: 'Vampire Diaries' and 'Reign' up; CBS wins the night

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013"The Big Bang Theory" continues to dominate Thursdays, earning nearly 16.6 million viewers last night and propelling CBS to a win. The Eye network averaged 10.2 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households. ABC was in second place, just edging out NBC. The alphabet network earned 6.9 million viewers and a 4.8/8, with the Peacock right behind at 6.6 million and a 4.2/7. When Josh Groban shows up on Thursday (Nov. 7) night's new episode of CBS' hit sitcom "The Crazy Ones," don't expect him to bust out his famous set of pipes. Well, he will sing, but not in the way you might expect."I play a character named Danny Chase. He's an ex-jingle writer who is now releasing CDs and joined a band and is excited to go pro," Groban tells Zap2it. "I'm going to be singing as Danny so he's got a different style than I do. But there's definitely a little bit of fun, funny singing. He's got a little bit more of a pop vibe, almost kind of like a rock, folky, pop kind of thing. Josh Groban  is going  Crazy . The singer guest-stars on Thursday's episode of  The Crazy Ones  as a former co-worker of Sydney's ( Sarah Michelle Gellar ) who still carries quite a torch for her. "He's a guy who has had kind of a defining moment in his life with Sydney, and he winds up kind of writing a song about her that she finds to be kind of creepy," Groban tells of his character, Danny Chase. TV ratings: 'Scandal' leads a quiet Halloween Thursday

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013Ratings were down some Thursday, as a combination of lower overall viewing because of Halloween and a handful of reruns made for a relatively quiet evening. "Scandal" ended up as the night's top show among adults 18-49, holding steady with last week in the demographic and rising slightly in viewers. Also Thursday, "The Millers" and "The Crazy Ones" both fell with a "Big Bang Theory" rerun leading off the night. "The Vampire Diaries" dropped as well, but "Reign" maintained its 18-49 rating from a week ago (though it was off a little in viewers). "The X Factor" ran a clip show from its early rounds, and not many people tuned in.CBS led the night in viewers with 9.4 million, along with a 5.9 rating/10 share in households. ABC (8.4 million, 5.3/9) finished second. NBC (4.45 million, 2.9/5) took third, but its numbers may change some as the network's... //

'The Crazy Ones' casts Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima as guest-star

An angel is heading to "The Crazy Ones" ... a Victoria's Secret angel, to be more precise.Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima just landed a guest starring role on an upcoming episode of CBS' new hit sitcom, E! Online reports.Lima will appear as herself in an episode titled "Models Love Magic," which is set to air Thursday, Dec. 5.This is not Lima's first appearance as herself on TV.
