Probably the best spin-off show there has been for a very long time

GREAT NEWS!! this show reminds me so much of the original Heroes (series 1). I had NO doubt it would get renewed it's by far up there with the best Marvel shows on tv atm.. Daredevil and Agents of shield.

Good news. I like Gifted (though I'm enjoying Runaways slightly more, tbh).

A little surprised. A very slow show that a little too much drama for what it's worth. Runaways is much better. AoS is better, as well but this space season is stretching thin.

This is awesome! The Gifted has a lot of potential once they figure out what they are doing. Their writers clearly know how to create entertaining scenarios, I just wonder if perhaps its budgetary why we only see a limited amount of power usage. I hope in season two we get some more Lore and world building, instead of just a back and forth between the resistance and Trask. The show isn't incredible, but its loads of fun and I'll be damned if there has ever been a show on TV with a more attractive cast. Heh.

Barnesy, what do you mean by spin-off? The Gifted isn't a spin off.

Glad to hear, the show started off pretty good. It has gone down a little recently, but I think a second season will help it build the world more and improve upon the first season.

As a long time X-Men comic fan, let me say that The Gifted is brilliant, a great cast , smartly directed, & realistically scripted. A healthy mix of drama, teen angst, action, family values and heroism. Both The Gifted and LEGION are testimony to FOX-TV doing a much better job than FOX Movies in adapting Marvel's premiere super-group to video . Keep up the good work in wrapping up the first season and starting the 2nd (well-deserved) one!

id say its more of a Logan movie spinoff, you know cos most of the X-Men has disappeared/gone in that film, which makes me think that the Logan movie was kinda spinoff of the 'Old Man Logan' series of comics. In the Old Man Logan; series of comics.. wolverine kills all the x-men cos of Mysterio using mind powers on Wolverine making him think he is actually fighting his enemies. IF you watch the Logan movie trailer you also hear Xavier say to logan in a shocked tone of voice "Logan, what did you do?" and then it cuts to logan's fist covered in blood and trembling. SO those points ive made makes me think that this is why the X-Men have all gone in The Gifted.. cos it is in fact taking place in that story timeline. I could be wrong.. what do you think?

I'm happy was renewed. A good series for kids, but for adults I hope next season will be better.

Happy this is renewed as it got me even more interested in the Marvel Universe but am confused about something. I am aware that many multi verses appear in the form of TV, comics, films but I have recently watched all of the Marvel films and Von Strucker appears in Age of Ultron. In Gifted, I believed him to be the Great Grandfather of the Strucker twins. In Ultron, he is around and kicking along with the original Strucker twins. This cannot all be happening in the same timeline, hence my confusion.

Marvel's The Gifted, Runaways, Legion, The Punisher remain the high points of their TV offering, Marvel's Spider-Man might also be added if you want to cover all the bases, but Marvel's AoS, Inhumans, Iron Fist, Defenders are definitely worth cutting/cancelling or rebooting with a totally different creative team.

Yey! I'm happy about this. It does suck when you get into a show and then they cancel it.

@JoP, I think the confusion here is the rights to the characters, The Gifted is a FOX/Warner Bros owned entity along with XMen and Fantastic 4 and others, so they remain outside the Marvel Cinematic/TV universe as Marvel/Disney own their rights, so you wouldn't see any crossover of characters unless agreed upon by both parties, hence the usage of Quicksilver in the XMen films and in Age of Ultron.

Although it seems a takeover is happening and Marvel/Disney are aqquiring FOX/Warner Bros properties which could mean that the XMen and Fantastic 4 could be brought back into the fold and start appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as per a "Reboot" of the XMen franchise with a whole new cast behind characters seen previously.
