The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 10 Review: Trial and Punishment

I've had my doubts about this season of The Musketeers, but that finale just blew them all away! Every minute was packed with so much action, and so many 'must see' moments. You know a finale has done it's job when you're left reeling and more eager than ever for the next season, and The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 10 did just that!   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/03/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-10-review-trial-and-punishment/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 9 Review: The Accused

Poor DoctorLemay... we hardly knew you. With such a fast-paced, action-packed episode, it's hard to know where to start. All I can say is that The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 9 delivered in a BIG way. The topic on everyone's minds (and lips) for the next week is definitely going to be that super passionate kiss shared between Athos and Milady. After finally, finally having an open and honest talk about their past, Athos and Milady's confined quarters forced them to confront that chemistry still bubbling between them.  Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/03/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-9-review-the-accused/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 8 Review: The Prodigal Son

I'm going to be a little bold and call this episode of The Musketeers the best of the entire season. After such a long wait, all of the most anticipated plots of the season are finally coming to a head! With so much to talk about, it's hard to know where to start with The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 8 . Since I tend to like my dessert first, let's begin with one of the only happy developments of the episode. Constance's hesitation to immediately live happily ever after withD'Artagnan was understandable, but Lemay's proposal was a bit of a shock. I half expected him to ask her to work for him as a physician's assistant since she seems to have a talent for that.  Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/03/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-8-review-the-prodigal-son/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 7 Review: A Marriage of Inconvenience

If this episode taught us anything, it's that medieval identity theft is nothing to turn your nose up at. This week on The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 7 , our heroes must protect the king's cousin, Louise, before assassins can put an end to her arranged marriage. I have to say, I did not see it coming that Louise was not in fact Louise. What a twist. Her footman was always sketchy, but Louise and her friendship with D'Artagnanseemed so genuine. She actually seemed genuinely nervous and frightened of this arranged marriage and what it could mean for her. I guess I'm not a very good judge of character.   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/02/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-7-review-a-marriage-of-inconveni/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 6 Review: Through a Glass Darkly...

Has anyone else had it up to HERE with King Louis? I sure have. On The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 6 , the King is sure not winning any favors with his royal court. For the most part, this episode kind of dragged and dragged. There was a whole lot of talking about escape, talking about killing people, and talking about rescues. Very few of these things actually happened until the last few minutes. Don't even get me started on how many times that coin got tossed in the air.   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/02/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-6-review-through-a-glass-darkly/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 5 Review: The Return

Can I preface this review by saying that NOTHING is more attractive than Athos in a white billowy shirt and black gloves? In The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 5 ,Athosmust protect the lands he abandoned when he gave up his title as an evil Baron terrorizes the villagers and burns their crops.   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/02/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-5-review-the-return/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 4 Review: Emilie

Well, last week I asked for more Anne and Aramis scenes, and I certainly got them! We got their short but amazing reunion on The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 4 . First, can I say how utterly hilarious it is to imagine how many religious prophets were just tripping on shrooms the whole time? I mean, blasphemy aside, you have to look back and wonder...  Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/02/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-4-review-emilie/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 3 Review: The Good Traitor

I can almost hear the sound of those poor deprived Anamis shippers. They were almost in the same room! This week on, The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 3 , the Dauphin is sick, and that sickness manages to put everyone in harm's way. Let's start off with Constance, shall we? I'm actually so impressed with her development this season. Last year, we got to see her mostly in a romantic context, with a few short sword fights thrown in. But now, she's advising the Queen, kidnapping sick babies, and standing up to high ranking members of court.   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/01/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-3-review-the-good-traitor/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 2 Review: An Ordinary Man

Of all the gin joints, in all the world, King Louis just had to chose the one that Spanish slave traders operate out of. There were plenty of royal hijinks to be had this week on The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 2 . Personally, I felt like this episode played out a bit too much like a sit-com, with the premise and the "uh-oh" moment set up a too perfectly. The King's decision to disguise himself in order to live like a commoner for a night seemed just a tad too played out, but I gave it a chance anyway. Surprisingly, the fallout of the King's disappearance was more interesting to watch than his actual captivity.  Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/01/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-2-review-an-ordinary-man/

The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 1 Review: Keep Your Friends Close

Another year of dueling, pistols, and sexy leather costumes kicks off with The Musketeers Season 2 Episode 1 . As premieres go, this one came out of the gate full force, with more action and espionage than ever before. Our fearsome foursome took center stage immediately, throwing punches and jokes at every turn. The only thing missing was the beguiling Milady de Winter, who I'm sure will be back sooner or later with a vengeance. Literally. In a surprising twist, Cardinal Richelieu has died in the interim between the first and second seasons. The Cardinal's actor, Peter Capaldi, was cast as Doctor Who 's Twelfth Doctor last year, so our episode opened with the poor Cardinal's funeral.   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/01/the-musketeers-season-2-episode-1-review-keep-your-friends-close/
