'The Next': Gloria Estefan Surprises Contestant In Disguise

Gloria Estefan decided to go undercover to surprise her next contestant on " The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep ." In this instance, fame was at Iliana's latest gig posing a a waitress. Estefan slipped in unnoticed by Iliana, who just kept singing. Estefan stayed in character, even taking drink orders, until Iliana finally realized she was there, and ultimately what that meant. It meant a chance for her to achieve her dreams by joining the performance show against three tough competitors. But "The Next" doesn't pluck people from obscurity; instead going for people who've built a brand in their local community. So there was a good chance at least a portion of this Chicago audience was familiar with Iliana. As if to prove she wasn't afraid of anything. Iliana tackled an Adele song. A risk? Maybe, but it won over the audience, and she found herself headed on to the next round of the competition. Tune in to "The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep," Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
