‘The Office’ Series Finale Set For May 16

Showrunners behind  The Office  have announced an official air date for the series  finale,  TV Line  has shared. The quirky comedy plans to  bid farewell after a nine season run on NBC, May 16th. Airing at 9/8c, the show’s last installment will also be the cast and crew’s 200th episode. Unfortunately for fans actor Steve Carrel won’t be part of the gang’s last hurrah. The ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ star has opted out of a return in what he explained had to do with his character Michael Scott, the former boss of ‘The Office’. READ MORE...

Roseanne Barr to Guest Star on The Office

Andy Bernard is headed back to The Office . But his role as Branch Manager may soon be coming to an end. NBC has confirmed that Roseanne Barr will guest star on an upcoming episode of the sitcom as Carla Fern, a talent who helps Andy realize his show business dreams. The veteran comedian, who has been performing regularly on Las Vegas, filmed her scenes yesterday. The Office Season 9 , of course, marks the end of this show's run. It changed course abruptly last week when the men behind the documentary film crew actually made an appearance, and we heard this won't be the last we see of them. Far from it, in fact. //

Last week's dramatic "Office" reveal took a surprising turn when the first member of the documentary crew viewers had ever seen -- a boom mic guy named Brian played by Chris Diamantopoulos -- comforted a crying Pam after she and Jim got into an argument. 'The Office': Steve Carell explains why Michael won't be back

It was never all that likely that Steve Carell would make a return appearance on "The Office" before the show ended, but absent a definitive word from Carell or the show, speculation continued.Carell has pretty well shut that down now, explaining that he doesn't think Michael Scott coming back to Scranton would make much sense. "I just didn't think it was right for the character," Carell tells "Access Hollywood" at Sundance, where his movie "The Way, Way Back" premiered this week.
