Being a big TVD fan, this is a must watch, more vampires actually being vampires instead of pretending not to be.

OMG what can i say.. The guys in this tv show are to-die-for they are sexy and mysterious. I only started watching this because of TVD but honestly this tv show is as good or even better as Vampire Diaries.. totally track it!!!

Not for me, I know it's a popular show but I can't seem to get into the plot or characters.

I loved the original vampires when they were introduced in The Vampire Diaries. I was so excited when I discovered they had their own show.

The Originals is a Vampire Diaries spin-off series that is actually better than the original series. The Originals is a fantasy drama about the original vampires trying to take back their home, New Orleans. There is blood, torture, death, conflict, magic, pain, betrayal, honor, family, deception and greed. I recommend this show for vampire and fantasy lovers.

Simply love this spin-off, you can connect to all the characters even though Phoebe Tonkin performance its really weak

A lot of spinoffs are never as good as their parent series, but I can say with no hesitation that this one is an exception. The Originals stands on its own without needing to rely on The Vampire Diaries to make it more intriguing. Sure, four of the main characters had already found a home in the stories that deal with the Mystic Falls gang, but The Originals is its own show, with its own backdrop in New Orleans, with the original family of vampires stepping back up to bat against a former friend turned enemy. There hasn't been an episode I've disliked. The writing is strong, the character development for the original vamps is there, and Klaus is more villainous than ever - only now he's got a contender for that throne. That competition alone makes it well worth the watch, but it's a must for any diehard fan of TVD.

This is a guilty pleasure! Really can't justify watching it, but somehow I'm still hooked!

The show is so good. First of all it's different from TVD.
And we get to see the story from Klaus point of view.
Then the witches are more powerful (it's like they are limited in TVD). The show is a battle of species (witches vs vampire vs werewolves vs human. really addictive!!!
