I really am enjoying this new series. They seem to have a really good mix of comedy with the seriousness. Thankfully the humor does not override the serious.

This episode blend the moral concepts central to Star Trek with the creativity and unique vistas expected in Doctor Who. The universe of the Orville is by far the best new science fiction out there today. In this episode, while very similar to the season finale of Doctor Who in the type of ship, and the lack of awareness that they are ON a ship by people in the rural farming areas it has the broad moral messages that are so familiar in Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek (and sadly lacking in NuTrek). Add to that the humer. The Orville is a WIN.
