Bravo Sets Premiere Date for 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Season 5

It's been seven months since we last saw The Real Housewives of Orange County , if you don't include "The Lost Footage" episode which aired in June. And it looks like we still have about three months of waiting to endure before Bravo's original Real Housewives franchise returns to our small screens. The wait might be all worth it though, if you're a fan of steamy suburban drama. Season 5, which kicks off on Thursday, November 5 at 10pm ET/PT, will welcome newcomer Alexis Bellino, a 32-year-old stay-at-home mom with a body that conceals that fact that she is already a mother of three small children. On the other hand, the new season will also be bidding farewell to longtime housewife Jeana Keough. In between the arrival of Alexis and the departure of Jeana, Tamra Barney, Lynne Curtin, Vicki Gunvalson and Gretchen Rossi get viewers up to speed with everything that's happened in their lives since the fourth season. Vicki's life insurance empire seems to be thriving, Tamra is coping with family and financial concerns, Lynne is also facing financial issues and a possible eviction from her home and Gretchen is in the aftermath of the devastating loss of her fiance, Jeff, and does her best to move on both professionally and personally, with a surprising new love interest. But it's not all financial woes and heartbreaks this season on The Real Housewives of Orange County. More than ever, these Southern girls are eager to prove their tenacity as they continue to live life unabashedly large amidst the tough economy. Watch out for Vicki as she takes her family on a trip to Italy while the girls visit San Francisco and Ft. Lauderdale for lavish getaways. It looks like the ladies are showing no signs of slowing down as we witness more shopping, drinking, partying and plastic surgery makeovers. Source here

The Real Housewives of Orange County: Lauri Waring's Son Arrested Again

Drama seems to follow Lauri Waring even though she has already left The Real Housewives of Orange County . The multiple-divorced mother of three is once again the subject of controversy now that her son, Josh, has been arrested (yet again) for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. TMZ reports that Josh Warning was busted at 2:30pm last Thursday after deputies went to his Orange County home to do a routine probation check. There were no drugs on sight but an equipment was found and is now being tested, according to Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino. This is clearly a violation of Josh's probation. In September 2008, Josh was sentenced to 240 days for possession of heroin and Ecstasy with intent to sell. He was arrested after his mother Lauri Waring found the drugs and called the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Josh was released from county jail in February, but is now back behind bars. Like his mother Laura, Josh also appeared on The Real Housewives of Orange County. After spending time in juvenile detention during the first season of the show, Josh moved into Waring's Ladera Ranch townhouse in season 4, however, his mothr Laura clamied that Josh broke a number of "house rules" and she evicted him. After leaving his mother's townhouse, Josh moved in with Laura's current husband George's ex-wife, Gina and didn't appear in the credits as part of Waring's family, with Laura alluding that she doesn't see him anymore. By the conclusion of season 3, which featured an extended psychotherapy session attended by Laura and Josh where they achieved resolution in their conflicted mother-son relationship, Josh was included in his mother's lavish wedding ceremony to George as his grandmother's escort down the marital aisle. In the fourth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Laura decided to leave the show to focus her attention on her family, specifically citing Josh's spiral into heroin addiction. And what does this wife and mother do during her down time? Why, she works out to look her best, of course. Jeana Keough Struggling with Housing Woes

Earlier this month, BuddyTV reported that Jeana Keough, a Coto de Caza resident who has appeared in every episode of the popular Bravo reality TV series, would not be returning for the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County as hinted by fellow O.C. housewife Tamra Barney. Keough herself confirmed the news that she's not yet signed on for another season since she and Bravo could not come to terms on a new contract. Now, word on the street is that Keough is attempting to renegotiate her contract due to her housing woes. "We may not be in the Orange County tornado," Keough said, referring to herself and her family, who have also appeared on the show. "We haven't signed. We're negotiating still. They wanted us for a longer term. I don't know that it's dead yet. We're going to try to give them some time to figure out what they're doing." Keough, who works in real estate, currently owns four homes that are all in dire straits. "I think all four of my houses have notices of defaults on them, as I'm trying to get loan modifications on them," Keough said of her properties in Coto de Caza, CA. According to the New York Post, the primary home in question is worth an estimated $1.382 million. "It's a tough market, everybody's struggling," said Keough, who is described as "a successful realtor of high-end homes (usually in the millions)" in her bio on Bravo's site. "My kids don't really need this news right now." Keough has three kids, major league baseball player Shane, 22, Kara, 19, and Colton, 16, with husband Matt Keough, whom she is now separated from. Meanwhile, fans can catch the latest franchise, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, as it wraps up its first season next Tuesday at 10pm on Bravo . Source Here

Popular 'Real Housewives of Orange County' Star Not Returning for New Season

Jeana Keough, who some say is the only tolerable lady on The Real Housewives of Orange County , is not returning to the Bravo reality show, as dished out by her partner-in-crime and fellow Orange County housewives Tamra Barney to RadarOnline.com. The 53-year-old Milwaukee, Wisconsin-native is a former Playboy Playmate of the Month during her heyday in the 1980s. Another website, which specializes in Real Housewives of Orange County gossip, has confirmed that Keough and her family could not come to terms with Bravo over contract negotiations. Barney related the news during the celebration of her 11-year wedding anniversary with husband Simon. The new season of The Real Housewives of Orange County is set to begin taping its fifth season, and Keough has starred in the first four seasons. To fill in the gap, the network is reportedly on a look-out for a new cast member or two to join the team. Indeed, according to the casting call, Bravo is looking for "outgoing, exciting, strong, focused women who reside in South Orange County and want to share their lives with us... The women will have busy lives, involvement with the community, strong work ethic, an active social calendar and an enjoyment of the good life." The realtor legally separated from her second husband former major league pitcher Matt Keough in season 3. The couple has three kids, Shane, Kara, and Colton. In the season, Colton became the only child living consistently at home. Shane started playing minor league baseball out of state, while former child actor Kara was preparing to head to UC Berkeley. Keough also started dating during this season. This continued on to the fourth season, with family friend Uncle Richie playing a father figure to Colton (remember prom?). The downturn of the real estate industry was also heavily featured last season, showing how the current recession has affected high-end realtors such as Keough. Season 4 wrapped up in late February. Former Real Housewives' Cast Member Arrested

One of the extremely wealthy men of The Real Housewives of Orange County has been arrested for not paying child support payments and court fees. Slade Smiley says the reason for falling behind is because of "enormous medical bills" for one of his two sons. Smiley, who once funded ex-fiance Jo De La Rosa's lavish O.C. lifestyle, was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant for civil contempt, according to E! Online. He was released after posting $10,000 bail. "This is an unfortunate situation that has occurred," said Smiley, whose children are from other relationships. "My son is very ill and we have been working on resolving the issue of support versus his enormous medical bills with the appropriate agencies for several months now," Smiley said in a statement. "It is sad that individuals would take advantage of the situation in an attempt to defame and discredit me in such a public manner. For those who know me, there is nothing more important than my children." Source here

A preview special will air on Bravo Wednesday, July 30 at 12 am/ET. I, however, will not be watching; I think I have seen more than enough of the Real Housewives. Will you? Source: TV Guide
