'The Sing-Off' finale results: Did Home Free, Ten or Vocal Rush win Season 4?

After a whirlwind two weeks of competition, the resurrected fourth season of NBC's "The Sing-Off" has come to an end. The three a cappella groups left in the competition -- country boys Home Free, backup singers Ten, and high school students Vocal Rush -- are all incredibly talented. Which one won? In the end, despite valiant efforts from the other two groups, it was the country stylings of Home Free that took home the title. Host Nick Lachey tells Zap2it the boys caught the judges' attention from the very beginning. "They hit the ground running. They were one of the groups that stood out from Day 1," Lachey says. "They just had a great sound together. They certainly got better as the show went along, but really came into it with an already very polished stage presence and sound. TV ratings: 'X Factor' finale way down from last year, 'Big Bang Theory' rerun leads Thursday

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013The good news for "The X Factor" finale Thursday was it scored its best Thursday ratings in more than two months. The bad news is that it ended a season that saw heavy ratings losses compared to last year with more of the same -- the finale was down 36 percent in viewers and 45 percent in adults 18-49 vs. the final episode of 2012.Elsewhere Thursday, "The Sing-Off" had its lowest outing thus far this season, dipping a tenth of a point in the 18-49 demographic vs. last week. TV ratings: Barbara Walters' 'Most Fascinating People' up; 'X Factor' finals down over last year

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013There are a fair amount of reruns this week before the holidays, meaning the shows that aren't reruns have less competition -- and it paid off for Barbara Walters' "Most Fascinating People of 2013" special, which was the top show of the night and also up 1.2 million viewers over last year's broadcast.Elsewhere, "The X Factor" finals was up just slightly over last week, but down a couple million viewers from last year's finals. "The Sing-Off" was down from last week also.Walters' special led ABC to a win, as the alphabet network averaged 7.2 million viewers and a 4.9/8 share in households. The next three networks all finished fairly close together -- CBS was second with 5.96 million and a 3.9/7, NBC was third with 5.3 million and a 3.1/5 and FOX was fourth 5 million and a 3.2/5. 'The Sing-Off' Announces First Tour

NBC's The Sing-Off is hitting the road for its first live tour. The winning a cappella group of season four – to be announced during the holiday strip's final episode airing Monday, Dec. 23 – will join a handful of finalists for The Sing-Off Live Tour! , which kicks off a 32-night jaunt Feb. 19 in Verona, N.Y. TV ratings: 'Scandal' rises with fall finale and 'Big Bang Theory' tops Thursday

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013The fall finales of "Scandal" and "Grey's Anatomy" delivered ratings gains for ABC Thursday, with both shows growing in both viewers and adults 18-49 and helping ABC score a solid second place for the night.First place went to CBS, which per usual was led by "The Big Bang Theory." 'The Sing-Off' Season 4: Meet Orlando-based VoicePlay

Two years after the last season of NBC's "The Sing-Off" aired -- and following the success of the movie "Pitch Perfect" and Internet phenomenon Pentatonix, who won Season 3 -- a cappella singing is en vogue again. Zap2it spoke with each of the groups competing in Season 4 of the reality competition. Up next: VoicePlay, an Orlando-based group with a secret weapon. VoicePlay, one of the groups competing on "The Sing-Off" Season 4, has a secret weapon: Honey LaRochelle, their fiery-haired female singer. The formerly all-male group began in high school as a barbershop quartet. "We kind of evolved our sound through the years and added a fifth guy," explains Geoff Castellucci.
