Before we get into tonight's competition, all five finalists take the stage to sing "Best Day of My Life" together. It's a really fun number, though Cole Vosbury's microphone seems to suffer a few malfunctions. Also, Blake Shelton is wearing a fake wig. Happy Monday! For tonight's first performance, James Wolpert will be taking on U2's "With Or Without You," which coach Adam Levine is hoping will be a huge, anthemic performance -- one to prove that America made the right choice with their Instant Save last week. It's the right song choice. James sounds terrific throughout, really hitting those emotional high notes... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/the-voice-live-blog-the-top-5-take-the-stage-for-the-semi-finals.html

'The Voice': Behind the scenes with the Top 5 in the recording studio

It's a nondescript building in the middle of Burbank, but this is where the magic happens. This is the location where the contestants from "The Voice" spend a lion's share of their time, laying down the iTunes versions of the songs they sing week after week live on TV.NBC invited Zap2it to spend the day in the studio with Season 5's Top 5 on Friday (Dec. 6) as they recorded the songs they'd be singing during Monday's live semi-finals, where we were surprised to learn that this experience wasn't everybody's first time in the booth."I grew up recording," Team Adam's Will Champlin reveals. "I produce a lot myself. I know all the mics, I'm very familiar. ... Everything I write, I lay down. Record, edit and produce, you know? Everything's a work in progress. The Voice 2013 Eliminations: Did The Right Artist Go Home Last Night?

The Voice went for a jovial mood on last night’s episode, with the majority of songs performed being holiday ditties. In the end, though, there’s no getting around the fact that one person had to go home, and that person was the well-loved Matthew Schuler. His somewhat shocking departure left Christina Aguilera with one remaining contestant (Jacquie Lee) and Blake Shelton with one remaining hopeful (Cole Vosbury). People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” Adam Levine, remains unscathed,... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/N9A75jyjpyA/2013-12-04-did-right-artist-go-home

'The Voice': Matthew Schuler on Christina Aguilera's parting words, meeting Kelly Clarkson

It was the end of the road for Matthew Schuler on Tuesday's (Dec. 3) episode of "The Voice," with the former Season 5 frontrunner failing to earn enough of America's votes for the second week in a row. After a one-week reprieve thanks to the Instant Save the week prior, Schuler didn't prove so lucky the second time around, meaning the Team Christina Aguilera artist was shown the door.Speaking with reporters backstage following his elimination, Schuler opened up about his final moments with his superstar coach. "?Well the first thing she said was, 'First off, enjoy your holiday,'" he said with a laugh. "I'm definitely going to enjoy it with my family because they've supported me through this crazy time. Not just my immediate family, but all my aunts, uncles and cousins back home, they've seriously held me down so I want to see them and give them some love. 'The Voice': Adam Levine talks heading into Season 5 Semi-Finals with his team intact

As "The Voice" heads into its final weeks with just five contestants left, several coaches are hanging on to their shot at the crown by just the skin of their teeth, if they've even got a shot at all. (Sorry, CeeLo Green!) And then there's Adam Levine. The Maroon 5 frontman may have had a scare with Team Adam artist James Wolpert landing in the bottom two on Tuesday (Dec. 3), but it was just that -- a scare. With James, Tessanne Chin and Will Champlin moving on, Levine's team is intact, claiming three of the final five spots. Speaking with reporters backstage following the show, he admits his team's success leaves him with more work than anyone other coach."It does make it more difficult because all of my eggs are not in one basket, they are in three," Levine says, referencing fellow coaches Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera, who've each only got one artist... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/the-voice-adam-levine-talks-heading-into-season-5-semi-finals-with-his-team-intact.html

'The Voice': CeeLo Green talks Adam Levine's drive to win, his off-season plans

Season 5 of "The Voice" has become something of a spectator sport for returning coach CeeLo Green ever since he lost his final Team CeeLo artist when the Top 8 was whittled down to the Top 6. But don't count him out completely.Speaking with reporters backstage after Tuesday's (Dec. 3) episode, Green admitted that he's hoping to have a hand in at least one artist's remaining weeks on the show. "You know Cole [Vosbury,] who's on Team Blake [Shelton] now, was originally discovered by me," he says. "No one turned around for Cole but me. I'm so pleasantly surprised that he's still in the race. I support him and so, I'm going to go over tomorrow and visit with him and see what's going on, see if I can put my two cents in."Cole and his coach may need all the help they can get, with rival coach Adam Levine absolutely dominating the season, mentoring... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/the-voice-ceelo-green-talks-adam-levines-drive-to-win-his-off-season-plans.html
