Andrea to Play Key Role on The Walking Dead

There's a lot more gore to come on season two of The Walking Dead . But that's not all, teases creator Robert Kirkman. He also tells TV Guide that viewers should look forward to a lot more Andrea. "Andrea very much wanted to die in the CDC, so we're going to be dealing with that," Kirkman said, adding Dale's love interest will be channeling her pain into a desire to be a protector of the group. "She'll be learning some guns, and she might not quite get to a certain level, but we are definitely going to be going down that road." 'Walking Dead': Robert Kirkman wants Stephen King

AMC's zombie franchise "The Walking Dead" won't be back on TV until October, but that doesn't mean we can't talk about it. Or that Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comic book on which the series is based, can't either. And that's exactly what he did on Saturday (May 7, apparently Free Comic Book Day) when the Hollywood Reporter caught up with him at an event. Kirkman wasn't too forthcoming, but he did put to rest some rumors about the show firing its entire writing staff and relying on freelancers. Not true, says Kirkman."We have a full writing staff," he said. There are three full-time staff writers and a freelancer: Evan Reilly ("Rescue Me"), Scott Gimple ("FlashForward") and Angela Kang ("Terriers") and one freelancer."He wasn't, however, able to give much of an update on whether or not Stephen King -- a fan of the show -- will be penning an episode."I can neither confirm nor deny,"... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/walking-dead-robert-kirkman-wants-steven-king.html

Advertiser Apologizes for Inappropriate Placement of 'Walking Dead' Billboard

"The Walking Dead " billboard has sparked a controversy, not because the picture but the placement. People blasted Clear Channel for   putting it on the side of a funeral home   in Consett, County Durham, U.K. which might upset grieving families.   Susan Jones, from the Willow Burn Hospice in nearby Lanchester, said, "Emotions can be pretty raw when people are recently bereaved. Words like 'death' and 'dead' can be very difficult," adding that "If you encounter this just as you are going to the funeral service to make arrangements for a loved one, it could be upsetting."   Read More... //www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00039757.html

Exclusive: Edgar Wright Has Been Asked to Direct an Episode of THE WALKING DEAD Season 2

Yesterday at SXSW, Scott Wampler (our Austin contributing writer) got to sit down with director Joe Cornish, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost to talk about Cornish’s first feature film,   Attack The Block   (which played huge during its midnight premiere last night).  While we’ll have the whole interview online later today, one of the gems that came out of their conversation is that Frank Darabont has asked Wright to direct an episode of   The Walking Dead   season two!  While Wright made it sound like he probably won’t do it, it’s still awesome to think that one of my favorite directors might helm an episode of the hugely popular AMC show.  For exactly what he said, hit the jump: Read More... //collider.com/edgar-wright-walking-dead-season-2/80247/

Teases Jeryl Prescott Sales (Jaqui) to TV Guide: "I think it is going to go further into the human dilemma, what these people have to deal with day to day - life and love and stress and losing people they care about and the struggle to survive.
