Review of Tyrant

60 minutes

Tyrant tells the story of an unassuming American family drawn into the workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation. Bassam "Barry" Al Fayeed, the younger son of the dictator of a war-torn nation, ends a self-imposed 20-year exile to return to his homeland, accompanied by his American wife and children, for his nephew’s wedding. Barry’s reluctant homecoming leads to a dramatic clash of cultures as he is thrown back into the familial and national politics of his youth.

I hate this kind of stories and I usually not watch but the trailer was so interesting, I gave it a try and now I am hooked. Its great and I love the show, glad I gave it a try, otherwise I would have missed a great storyline and action. Its just unbelievable and it makes you see those other cultures from a different point of view. I think this series will change everyone and how they think about middle east countries. Tyrant is not such a tyrant but the victim of some unscrupulous men around him who force him or press him to act in a bad way.
