Review of Under the Dome

60 minutes

Based on King’s bestselling novel, Under The Dome is set in Chester’s Mill, a small New England town suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away. Robertson will play Angie, an attractive young waitress and aspiring nurse who’s always dreamed of escaping the town of Chester’s Mill.

This show has all of the awful tropes: love triangle, abusive father, obsessive/borderline rapist boyfriend with traumatic past, the abused girlfriend is the one who dies while the boyfriend is the one who gets a redemption arc and another love????? I wish I had been the one to write this show; I'd have done much better. It had so much potential!
