Nova-99 is going critical and places an entire solar system's worth of people in danger. It is believed that Glacia's Thunder-Ice can save the day, but getting it and the necessary amount are difficult. This seems like a perfect job for Pidge and Amalgamus agrees, so the genius pilot and Green Lion soon head out. However, Pidge has extra company – the I.G.O.R. cyborg, courtesy of an 'insisting' Zarkon. Unsurprisingly, I.G.O.R. is a threat to Pidge and the mission. He will need help to take this monstrosity down, which comes when Keith learns the truth again.
