‘Wake Up, Girls!’ Gets Anime Spinoff With ‘Wake Up, Girl Zoo!’

The winter 2014 series  Wake Up, Girls!  landed in a big way earlier this year with a movie and TV series launching on the same day and now the inevitable has happened – a spinoff. The spinoff is being done as a series of shorts on the official site that will go live in September where we get to see the main girls done up in mini mascot character outfits being silly and having fun. ‘Wake Up Girls!’ Anime Feature Gets New Commercial Teasers

Crunchyroll definitely scored well in getting to simulcast the theatrical feature for  Wake Up, Girls!  since it comes out at the same time as the TV series on January 10th. Now, ahead of the film’s release, Avex is doing their marketing side of things by bringing out a pair of quick teaser commercials to ramp up interest a bit more in the project that lets us get another taste of the music. Crunchyroll Adds ‘Wake Up, Girls!’ For Winter 2014 Anime Lineup Plus Feature Film

One of the more interesting debuts of the winter season is  Wake Up, Girls! , which is getting a feature length release and a TV series at the same time. Crunchyroll is definitely stepping up to the plate here as they’re getting both the feature and TV series! The TV series is set to being simulcast on Friday starting on January 10, at 1:30p.m. ET for premium members and a week later for free members.
