Review of Wayward Pines

60 minutes

Imagine the perfect American town... beautiful homes, manicured lawns, children playing safely in the streets. Now imagine never being able to leave. You have no communication with the outside world. You think you’re going insane. You must be in Wayward Pines. Based on the best-selling novel “Pines” by Blake Crouch, and brought to life as a 10-episode mini series by suspenseful storyteller M. Night Shyamalan (“The Sixth Sense,” “Signs”), WAYWARD PINES is the intense new mind-bending event thriller evocative of the classic cult hit “Twin Peaks.”

This is admittedly not my genre but like.... that was so depressing it's not even funny and I feel cheated out of the last three days like wth.... I was intrigued at first but as the season went on it just started to drag and by the time we got to what I'm gonna call "the breach", I just didn't care all that much about the story or the characters anymore, and the ending made the big sacrifice feel meaningless, not to mention I couldn't genuinely believe the final scene, it was kinda rubbish.... And I'm very confused, like sure there were red herrings everywhere about it being a government experiment but it probably would have been better if it WAS like nah this whole show broke my suspension of disbelief by the time I got to the final episodes it wasn't worth my time at all
