Weeds jumped three years into the future to open season seven, a dramatic shift that placed Nancy in New York, killed off Esteban and set up a new a new set of storylines. Where will things go next? Nancy Finds Prison Connection, Possible New Career on 'Weeds' (VIDEO)

The seventh season of 'Weeds' (Mon, 10PM ET on Showtime) kicked off with some major changes for our principal characters. If you haven't watched it yet, you need to be somewhere else right now. 'Weeds' welcomes Michelle Trachtenberg in Season 7

The Season 7 premiere of "Weeds" is almost here and to celebrate, we have some casting news for the seventh year of the Botwins' crazy antics. Michelle Trachtenberg of "Gossip Girl" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is joining the cast in a multi-episode arc.According to Showtime, Trachtenberg will play "Emma, a sexy, intelligent, low-level, pot-dealing rival to Nancy (series star Mary-Louise Parker) who catches Silas' (Hunter Parrish) eye." Of course she catches his eye. What doesn't catch Silas' eye? Trachtenberg is scheduled for two episodes as of now.We can't wait to see Georgina Sparks and Dawn Summers as a pot-dealing rival of Nancy's. The show has moved to New York City for its seventh season, so Trachtenberg should feel right at home after "Gossip Girl.""Weeds" premieres Monday, June 27 at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.... //

Justin Kirk Doesn't Think This Will Be the Final Season of 'Weeds'

While 'Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan has gone on record saying she thinks the seventh season, which premieres tonight at 10PM on Showtime, will be the last for her series, star Justin Kirk isn't so sure. "I think that when it's our last season it will be officially announced, because they will have us write to a series finale," he told AOL TV late last week. "And that has not happened in this particular case." Season 7 flashes forward three years, with Nancy moving from prison to a halfway house in New York City, where she intends to re-start her lucrative pot-dealing business. Meanwhile, her sons and brother-in-law (Kirk) fly in from Copenhagen, where they've been hiding out. Kirk spoke to AOL TV about the ideal 'Bonnie and Clyde'-style ending he envisions for the series, whether he thinks Nancy and Andy should end up together, and which actor is going full-frontal this year. //

To look at Nancy Botwin ( Mary-Louise Parker ) now, it may be difficult to reconcile the version of her we met when the series began and the version that’s just about to leave prison without her family (who have fled to Copenhagen) and totally on her own in New York City. 'Weeds' EP on Planning a Season That May Be Its Last

It’s no secret that the fate of  Weeds  -- as it’s debuting its seventh season Monday on Showtime -- is precarious. Whispers that Season 7 will be its last have become harder to ignore as creator and showrunner  Jenji Kohan  has disclosed that her contract is up and there’s currently no order on an eighth.
