“Wicked City” follows a unique case set in a noteworthy era of L.A. history, starting with a murder case from 1982 centered on the rock ‘n’ roll, cocaine-infused revelry of the Sunset Strip. Alliances are formed between detectives, reporters, drug dealers and club-goers to solve a serial murder case.

Don't like to judge to many shows as this. Some take the character development a little L O N G. And then It will pick up and make for a much better second season. However, networks will pull a show that is just starting to get good and dump it when you know it's going to be a better show next season, when every one is in sink and knows more about each other and the show.
