'Wife Swap' Beauty Queen Charged With Prostitution

Alicia Guastaferro, the insufferable teen beauty queen who appeared on the ABC reality TV show "Wife Swap," has been arrested and charged with prostitution. The pampered princess, whose upstate New York family celebrated Christmas every day of the year, was arrested Monday in the company of a 54-year-old attorney, according to police. Authorities charged Guastaferro, 20, of Williamsville, with criminal impersonation, prostitution, and possession of a controlled substance. Her alleged john -- Rochester area attorney James D. Doyle -- is charged with driving while intoxicated, patronizing a prostitute and unlawful dealing with a child. The latter charge is for allegedly helping Guastaferro obtain alcohol. Read More... //

Antonio Sabato Jr. Fights With Fiancee On 'Wife Swap'

It was a successful first season for " Celebrity Wife Swap " (Tue., 9 p.m. EST on ABC), which wrapped its inaugural run by swapping the wives of Antonio Sabato Jr. and Mick Foley. Sabato's fiancee Cheryl immediately brought some structure into the Foley household, as well as accountability for the family. But she also emphasized family time together, which was something everyone responded well to. Cheryl is an admitted OCD clean freak. Her daily to-do list for Mick's wife Colette is 65 items long. When she was allowed to implement her own rules, Cheryl immediately loosened the reins a bit for the family. Both families had fun and felt they'd learned from the experience, but at the couples' reunion the situation got heated pretty quickly. Read More... //

Gary Busey and Ted Haggard 'Celebrity Wife Swap': What did you think?

In case ABC's "Wife Swap" wasn't crazy enough, they've stepped it up a notch, bringing in noted lunatic (and Oscar-nominee) Gary Busey and disgraced pastor Ted Haggard for "Celebrity Wife Swap." Busey's girlfriend, Steffanie Sampson, who wears a wedding band because she believes she and Gary are married spiritually, swaps places with Gayle Haggard, who is determined to share her side of Ted's gay prostitute scandal. The question of faith is obviously a focal point of the episode. Gary and Steffanie, who do consider themselves Christians, also believe in past lives (they were together in several). Gayle questions whether their belief in reincarnation can jive with their belief in Jesus. Meanwhile, Steffanie takes offense when she reads that Gayle considered the male prostitute that Haggard was caught in an affair with to be Satan.Ultimately, the families were surprisingly amicable. Gary was uncomfortably interested in Gayle's high school extracurriculars and the Haggard's son had some anger... //

An Insane Couple Dresses Up Like Superheroes on 'Wife Swap' (VIDEO)

"Insane" might be too mean a word to describe the Owen-Ladino family on 'Wife Swap.' So how about "insanely upbeat," instead? Shanti (whose real former name is Patti) and her fianacée Arjuna (whose real name is Harold), like to dress up as superheroes and walk around like that in full daylight in New York City, and, that's cool, and -- well, no. ... We were right in the first place. They're just a little crazy. The pair are of a couple of self-described "relationship" experts, who wear spandex and use their superhero identities to teach students about how to deal with the opposite sex. We might feel better about this if their costumes were cooler. But they dress kind of like Wonder Woman. Both of them dress like Wonder Woman -- the guy and the girl. Arjuna also has an odd habit of shouting "AAAHHHH!" at certain moments. At any rate, they're clearly the "wacky" couple on 'Wife Swap' (Fri., 8PM ET on ABC). And wouldn't you figure -- they're paired up with an extremely straight-laced couple. The Owen-Ladinos now have to swap lives and deal with a new conservative lifestyle. So let's see exactly how much of a disaster this will be. Source & Video

An Angry Conservative Dad Tries Not to Swear on 'Wife Swap' (VIDEO)

We're getting into some trouble on 'Wife Swap' (Fri., 8PM on ABC). The Harris family is from Tennessee, and abide by strict conservative values. Meanwhile, the Weasel family is all about non-conformity and living each day to the fullest. Of course, this will inevitably lead the two families into conflict. When new "mom" Shanna Weasel takes over the household, she tries to get uptight dad Ken Harris to loosen up a little. The Harris kids have never been allowed to spend their own savings. By way of teaching their kids responsibility, the Harris family has their children run their own mini-businesses. But the kids aren't allowed to use any of their money. Instead, it is all funnelled into their future college fund. But now, temporary mom Shanna decides to change the rules a little bit. She wants to let the kids spend some money, and she wants them to spend it on ... toys! Father Ken is predictably annoyed. Ken freaks out, and makes the children leave the toy store. He's disappointed by the whole activity, and he upsets the kids so much that they start crying. Then, Ken gets mad at Shanna -- but he still must remain in control of his conservative values. So instead of cursing, he says the word "Dadgum." Which is actually kind of cute, in its own way. Source & Video
