I am completely in love with thestrong female characters in this show, and how they do not minimise male characters to give the girls strength. This show is perfectly balanced out, in every way. It has action (tons of it), great dialogues, avery talented actors/actresses and even a bit of romance! This is how you make a series.
This was one of the first 'real' shows I ever watched. I used to watch it together with my mother, it was Buffy that started my unhealthy binge watching habits.
Recently I watched it all over on Netflix, every single episode and I again fell in love with all the characters. There aren't any flat characters in there, no Mary or Gary sue, each character has depth and all the main characters (and more than a few recurring and minor characters)had insane character development in the series. I love the humor and the jokes that didn't seem forced, like they do on so many other shows. I love the relationships between the characters, and the very human and real way they dealt with loss.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer really deserves all the rewards it has won.
