Actor Robson Green returns to his home turf for a new factual series, which sees him lead viewers through a unique and often overlooked part of Britain that remains close to his heart.
Robson finds out the secrets of the county that can be found along the English-Scottish border. He talks to Emma Gray and looks for the Cheviot Wild Goat. He pays a visit to Wallington Hall where he finds out the stories behind its incredible Pre-Raphaelite artwork. He also pays a visit to the Charlton Family whose ancestors were the most feared clan of the border country back in the medieval times.
Robson is in the South-East corner of the county and joins the team of building conservationists who are trying to save one of country’s best architectural gems, Seaton Delaval Hall. He later has a go at the Rapper Sword Dance, a North-East tradition that used to be popular with miners. He also pays a visit to Kirkley Hall to find out about the battle taking place in the countryside between the red and grey squirrels.
