No list of mid-series character additions would be complete without Cousin Oliver. When Cindy lost her lisp and Bobby finally got taller, the cuteness quotient dropped on The Brady Bunch, so the producers jammed the bespeckled and befreckled John Denver doppelgänger lamely into the series. He only lasted a handful of episodes and the series ended at the end of that season, but not before ultimately coining the term "Cousin Oliver Syndrome."
