After finishing How I Met Your Mother, Hannigan returned to CBS to guest star in The McCarthys. Hannigan also starred in The First Wives Club, Man of the House, and Fancy Nancy. In terms of movie roles, Hannigan has appeared in Do You Take This Man and You Might Be the Killer. More recently, Hannigan has appeared in the live-action film adaptation of Disney's Kim Possible. Hannigan has two roles coming up in the near future, first being the film, 53 Days: The Abduction of Mary Stauffer. The second role is in Disney+'s upcoming movie, Flora & Ulysses.
