Following the end of his career on How I Met Your Mother, Segel shifted his focus towards film roles by appearing in The End of the Tour and a Netflix sci-fi, The Discovery, alongside Rooney Mara. Segel also appeared in another Netflix film called Come Sunday, in 2018. Most recently, Segel starred in the movie, The Friend, in 2019, alongside Casey Affleck and Dakota Johnson. Next up, Segel returns to television with the AMC series Dispatches from Elsewhere, which is set to air in 2020.
