The Most Important Shows on TV: Week of November 9, 2015

Which TV series will your friends (and the entire internet) be talking about this week? Stay informed—or at least be able to fake it—with SideReel's weekly guide to The Most Important Shows on TV.

The Flash: S2E6

The Flash

Tuesday at 8:00pm on The CW

Why: Bang! Zoom! (Straight to the moon? Nevermind, wrong audience.) The Flash is out to defeat ZOOM! We're not really sure who Zoom is, other than another super fast man — one who really likes leather, apparently. Let's be real: Barry probably won't defeat Zoom this week because it would deprive us of an important villain, but a girl can dream. Oh yes, a girl can dream.

Prepare to talk about: How many superfast people are there out there, anyway? What would you name the next inevitable superfast character? What would happen if you gave too much coffee to The Flash or Reverse Flash or Zoom.

Peep Show: S9E1

Peep Show (Season Premiere)

Wednesday at 10:00pm/BST on Channel 4 (UK)

Why: You may have noticed that British airings of British shows don't often (or ever) make the cut here, but WE'RE SHAKING THINGS UP. This show is worthy. More than worthy! It's the El Dude brothers, and they're back for one last round. Americans, check out this quirky Brit hit on Netflix immediately and join the cult of Mark and Jeremy.

Prepare to talk about: Mark and Jeremy post-electrocution: will they be better people? (I hope not.) Will the El Dude brothers ever realize that the only people they could ever truly love are each other; what pearls of wisdom a detoxed Super Hans will bless us with.

Into the Badlands: S1E1

Into the Badlands (Series Premiere)

Sunday at 10:00pm on AMC

Why: Motorcycle samurais! WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE NEED? It's like a combination of everything you could ever want in an AMC show. You've got darkness and tortured characters and motorcycles and samurais on those motorcycles.

Prepare to talk about: Whether riding a motorcycle while carrying a samurai sword is a safety hazard; whether you think being a motorcycle samurai is the way to enlightenment (sure, why not?); whether anyone on this show won't be sad and tortured with dark secrets to unveil.
