By the Numbers: 69.9 million tune into VP Debate

No, there was no new The Office or Grey's Anatomy last night, but that didn't stop a whole lot of people from watching TV.

An impressive 69,989,000 viewers watched Joe Biden(D) and Sarah Palin(R) debate last evening.

That number is 33% higher than the 52.4 million that watched last week's Obama/McCain debate.

It was the most viewed debate of any kind since at least as early as 1992.
