Not only do I now have the utmost respect for the Wahlberg family after watching the first season of this show, but I fall more and more in love with the boys after each episode! I was pleasantly surprised with how much Mark was actually in the show, considering how busy he must be, but even if he wasn't on screen as much as he is, Donnie makes up for it with his wit and humor. I didn't realize these boys were all so fun and interesting! I especially love their mom, Alma. She's a force to be reckoned with and I'm so excited to watch the remaining seasons! Really hope this show doesn't get cancelled anytime soon :)
New on my bucket list: eat at Wahlburgers & Alma Nova.
I can't get enough of this show! I binge watched 6 seasons in, like, 2 weeks and I'm not at all sorry! Such a serious storyline but with some comedic relief, which is nice. You sympathize and then you HATE the characters and then you sympathize again. It's an emotional roller coaster that I keep getting in line for and you should, too!
Has been compared to only my all time favorite show: Friends, and though it doesn't quite match up in my books, it's still a great show and has such a great cast! The one thing I love the most about this show is that literally every episode ties together, no matter how old or new the episode is. So many details in the storyline and the comedy is top notch! DEFINITELY watch-worthy.
HOLY BALLS! There are no words. No words can describe this show adequately. I realize it was based off of the books, in which case, serious cudo's to the writer but WOW - it takes a talented team to pull off a show like this. I'll be rewatching this series more than once.
I think my favorite thing about this show is that Sophia Bush stars and the stars of Chicago Fire make appearances. Other than that, I think it's really just another cop show. Perhaps it's just not my cup of tea, though it's definitely well written. I personally would choose Rookie Blue over Chicago PD in terms of cop shows but that's just my opinion. Still worth a watch!
LOVE this years house guests. It's always a toss up on whether or not the house guests of a new year will meet the previous house guest standards but I was not disappointed this year. One of the best looking casts of the shows run. The only downside to this season is how little people are shaking things up. They're playing it safe and it's frustrating to watch. Little to no big moves made 90% of the time but it's still entertaining and there are some jaw dropping moments.
I legitimately want to quit my job and do nothing but watch this show until I perish. Lena Dunham is a genius. The wit is on point, the brutally honest one liners are stuff of magic, and every character is someone I either want to be friends with or just simply want to BE. The nudity is a little shocking at first but you get used to it! 5 STARS!
This show is just so unbelievably relatable and real. It's so easy to watch and develop sympathy for each character based on what they're going through and where they are in their lives during each episode. The story lines aren't too crazy or intense, they're just deep enough to keep you interested in the show and curious about where the end of each episode will take you. I really enjoy it! Definitely recommend. Plus, it's only 30 minutes so it's a great series to have on the back burner for when you're in between episodes of another favorite show!
The only negative thing I can say about this show is that more people aren't watching it. I hopped on the bandwagon (or should I say, ambulance.. HAHA.. I crack myself up) somewhat late but it didn't take me long to catch up and it took even less time falling in love with this show! It reminds me a lot of Scrubs. The humor, the calls they get and the relationships that form and fall apart throughout the series has a similar feel - but instead of taking place in a hospital, it takes place out on the streets. I like to think that Sirens respond to the calls and do their thing then take those patients back to the hospital where Scrubs takes over.
BUT back to the show! I never finish an episode without laughing at least 12 times. I don't mean a slight giggle, I mean a hyena laugh that my neighbors undoubtedly roll their eyes at in annoyance. Great show! Great writing! I hope it comes back for many more seasons.
WHAT . JUST . HAPPENED?!
That's my first thought after every new episode. Top notch writing with GREAT acting and casting! This is my favorite "crime" series yet. The audience is like a fly on the wall, seeing each episode at more than one angle while getting to know the characters in depth. This is one of those shows that came out of no where and will be here to stay for many more seasons.. at least, I hope so! If you haven't been watching, what are you waiting for?!
