Overall this show gives great real life adaptions of fairytales and changes their stories to make them even more interesting and for that I cannot fault it at all (most of the time it's better the originals they're based on). However, a lot of the stories are left up in the air and characters literally disappear from the show with no explanation at all which was the only thing that really ruins it for me. But definitely worth a watch regardless, not only for fairytale fans but anyone who enjoys cheesy and/or magic based shows.

A must watch for fans of the original series. It had it's bad points - some storylines which made no sense and were quite frankly pointless, but I wouldn't let that put you off as some of the storylines were amazing and it has great nostalgia. Characters who weren't even that big in the original show were in this too so it really did feel like less of a comeback and more just like a continuation of the same show we all used to love!

This show had so many different sci-fi theories, mysteries and concepts all at once, it truly went above and beyond what any other sci-fi show has ever done. I cannot rate this show highly enough!

One of the best sci fi shows I've seen in a long time. Definitely now one of my all time favourite shows. It's also hilarious and the acting is incredible.

Really chilling TV show where the story turns out to be a pretty scary commentary on the world we live in. Really good drama but expect to cry - There is no happiness to be found here.

The plot for this show is very unique, I've never seen or heard of any show similar! The theme is mainly action/moral dilemma's/political corruption but there is a tad bit of romance/humour too. The only downside is that the show does drag a bit. It could've been done with shorter episodes/less episodes and still had all the necessary details needed for the story.

For fans of the books: I personally felt like every actor/actress perfectly fit their character and it's very rare that's the case (especially with every character) but the casting in this show is spot on and for that reason I'd definitely recommend it.
For people who haven't read the books: A solid sci-fi/supernatural/fantasy drama. The entire "shadow world" is really different from anything else supernatural I've watched which makes this show unique.

This is more of a political/war/civil unrest sort of show rather than sci-fi (although sci-fi is included), so sci-fi fans bare that in mind before starting this show, but I would still 100% recommend watching this. It's hard to find a show that has a unique storyline but this does. Another one cancelled before it's time!

Definitely worth a watch for any pirate fiction fans.
