Ray Donovan is a bad men (really bad. mafia bad...) but somehow his ways are intriguing and you woot for him - and if you're female you maybe even have a secret crush on him.
Credible Characters. Not too much crime. Gripping storytelling.
not so special. like the american & the german version better
Daddy cool meets Fear & Loathing. Drugs. Sex. Dirty Words & Pretty People.
I HATE everything about this show. EXCEPT that I LOVE it.
There is a whole season I couldn't bear watching. Not that it was bad, but it was too emotional. Every Episode puts me on an emotional rollercoaster. Which I hate. But love. It is simply good.
It is very different from Dr. House, but you will find the same medical accuracy in this show.
It is different from its spin-off Private Practice, but you will find equally intertwined relationships here.
Wanna watch Naomi bitching around? There you go... The worst part: the young girls looking up to her! :/ Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha were wise enough not to go through with another season.
every teenage girl would love this show
Appearently, I'm the only one around enjoying the show. I had to binge watch the first season.
First, I must say: I'm not the biggest fan of Duchovny. The character of the detective is in some aspects too similar to his previous role in californication.
Second, I do not like the fact, that a serial killer gets fame and his life - so far - might appeal to some people: drugs, sunshine, lots of women obbeying.
That being said, I really enjoy the show. It has a interesting way of intertwining the political agenda of that era with the plot and the personal issues of the main characters. I also like the depiction of the inner troubles that the characters undergo (being gay, being a father and a policeman, being a soldier, being a working woman, being a wife those days...). As I am writing I notice: This series has a really wide range of characters you get to know and love or hate or both or depending on the episode.
To sum it up: I like this show so much because it is not all black and white, it shows ambiguity, morally questionable decisions, etc. - and thus makes you think about right and wrong... Kants Imperativ. And plenty more.
This show is really loud & fast paced. While some may enjoy that, I didn't like it at all. For me it is simply too fast & too hectic. I rather watch greys anatomy or Chicago Med - which both still are action packed & not lame at all, but allow me to breathe and relax.
